2. Finding sum of first n natural numbers – graphical method
INSTRUCTIONS :
Students must do both the activities 1 and 2 in their activity books
Activity 1:
 Clinometer is an instrument used for measuring the angle or elevation of slopes. The
aim of the activity is to make a miniature model of the instrument.
 The needed materials are a protractor ,tape, straw, string and a small metal weight to
keep the string intact.
 Students need to mention the AIM, MATERIALS NEEDED,PROCEDURE and
APPLICATIONS of the model in the book
 The model is to be attached in the activity book

Activity 2 :

The objective of the activity is to verify that the sum of first n natural numbers is 2
using graphical method
 The materials needed are graph sheet ,coloured strips of paper, scissors ,glue etc
 Students need to mention the AIM, MATERIALS NEEDED,PROCEDURE and
CONCLUSION for the activity in the book.
 The graph is to be attached in the activity book .

1. (a) To solve the worksheet : Light- Reflection & Refraction & draw all the ray diagrams
in notes
(b) To draw all the diagrams of ‘How do Organisms Reproduce’ in Bio notes.
2. Kitchen Chemistry : To check chemical reactions (around 10) observed in your
Kitchen ( like corrosion of copper vessels, oxidation of cut apples etc.) & write
related word reactions or equations in the notes.
3. Evenings in Garden : To study the vegetative propagation of any two plants of your
choice by planting & continue to protect the plants

Make a project on ‘Political Parties’


Topics to be covered are :Functions of political parties, Names and symbols of national and
regional parties , challenges to political parties and reform measures.
Requirement : A4 size sheets ( MIN 15, MAX 20 sheets file) , cover page, index, objectives &
Bibliography .
NOTE: Hand written project ( Pictures may be drawn or taken from news papers ,
