Processor Minimum Intel quad q8400 2.66GHz or equivalent, recommended Intel I3 4360 or better

RAM Minimum 8GB, 1333 MHz, recommended 12GB, 1600 MHz or better

Hard disk Minimum 2 x 200 GB (RAID mirroring), recommended 2 x 500 GB (RAID mirroring) or better

LAN Minimum 100 MB/sec or 10MB/sec dedicated

it is strongly recommended that backups are made as often as possible on external support. Please consider the
Backup
security involved when storing external support containing backups, especially of the database

Hardware please consider the security level for accessing the server directly. It is recommended that the server is physically
security locked and does not have a keyboard or a display installed.

Notes and Recommendations

Note 1: For larger agencies, the performance of the server should be higher. Please note that by purchasing a
more expensive server, a better response time and a higher overall performance will be achieved. As time
passes, the hardware components will tend to get cheaper and better; we recommend periodical upgrades
over a period of a couple of years (if needed) or full upgrades over a period of many years (also, if needed).
The simplest way to achieve this is to run on a virtual machine.

Note 2: The server should be dedicated for AIDA (only the software needed for AIDA should be installed, or
other utilities used for security, logging, etc. It is strongly recommended that AIDA server will NOT handle
other applications and/or databases (Ex: Internet routing, mailing server, accounting application/database etc).

Note 3: The server administrator should periodically check that the server has enough free space, the server
load does not reach high values, there is enough RAM available, etc. Very seldom, a thorough maintenance is
recommended.

Note 4: When installing and setting up the Internet bandwidth for each office of the agency, the following
should be considered: what other bandwidth consuming applications are installed there? What is the average
Internet browsing bandwidth need? It is an obvious fact that the bandwidth is the number one problem that
generates application slow responses rather than the server itself, so the higher the bandwidth, the better the
user experience.
