Q1. Using Conjugate beam method determines the slope and deflection at point as (5)
shown in Fig. below. EI = Constant, E = 70GPa I = 2340(106) mm4
Q2. An overhanging beam ABC of length 12m has one support at the left end (A) and (5)
other support at a distance of 8m (B) from the left end. The beam carries an upward
point load of 12kN at the right end (C). Using Moment Area method, find the slopes
over each support and at the right end, i.e. at A, B and C. Find also the deflection at
the right end (C). Take E = 2*105 N/mm2 and I = 5*108 mm4
Q3. Using three moments theorem determine reactions at A, B and C. Also draw Shear (5)
force diagram and Bending moment diagram. (Unit of load is kN/m and length in
