Accoplishment Report Feeding Program Jan Feb20

The feeding program report summarizes a school-based feeding initiative at Francisco Osorio Integrated Senior High School from January to February 2021. It identified 42 students as wasted or severely wasted through body mass index screenings. The school provided packaged goods and vegetables to beneficiaries' parents during class output collection due to pandemic restrictions. The program aims to improve nutritional status, though challenges in funding limit its ability to directly provide meals at this time.

Highlight of Support Services-School Health Division (BLSS-SHD), shall implement the School-
Accomplishment:
Based Feeding Program (SBFP) for School Years (SY) 2017-2022 to address
malnutrition among public school students.
The SBFP covers all Severely Wasted (SW) and Wasted (W) Kindergarten
to Grade12 students for SY 2020-2021. The program primarily aims to improve
the nutritional status of the beneficiaries by at least 70% at the end of feeding
days.
In response to that, FRANCISCO OSORIO INTEGRATED SENIOR HIGH
SCHOOL with the help of the clinic teacher, MAPEH teachers, advisers and
parents, conducted a Body Mass Index (BMI) for all of its students from grade 7
to grade 10.Due to pandemic situation parents conducted and get the height and
weight of the students. They sent it to their advisers thru fb messenger group
chat. Some of the grade 10 students after giving their output and answer sheets
for their modular activities, one of their teachers got their height and weight
with social distancing, following the protocols of IATF. We found out that there
are 42 students that are severely wasted and wasted on their BMI.
The school together with our stakeholder plan to give food or vegetables
that were harvested in the garden. Since it is in a hardest time for us to conduct
feeding program because of the pandemic Covid 19, we decided that during the
retrieval of the students output, we will give the parents of the feeding
beneficiaries a pack of goods and harvested vegetables for them to cook at their
house and feed their children.
