directly to your Revel assignments from the O

Sync Grades
Video: R
evel for Educators: Syncing Revel Grades in Canvas
You can sync grades for Revel assignments by due date to the Canvas gradebook
automatically when they become available or when you choose. You can also choose to
sync overall scores.
Any Published Revel assignments can be synced in your Canvas course. Grades are only
synced for students who link their accounts and register for Revel content.
1. From your Canvas course, select P
earson Revel in the course navigation.
2. Under Grade Sync, select O
n to enable grade sync. The default is O
ff.
3. Authorize access to Pearson Revel if asked.
Revel Tutorials | 7
4. Choose whether you want to sync grades automatically:
● On: Sync grades as they become available without taking any action. (You can
still sync grades using S
ync Now.) This option is best when you want to “set it
and forget it.”
● Off: Grades aren’t synced unless you select S
ync Grades Now.
Note: Grades go through a queue process, so it can take some time between
when individual grades are submitted and when they update in Canvas.
5. Choose the sync type:
● Assignments: If available, sync grades for published assignments already
available or that became available to students since you last synced grades. This
includes assignments in groups or that are weighted. You can change settings
anytime, but at least one student must start at least one assignment to sync
grades. Next, select All or the check boxes of individual assignments to sync.
● Overall Scores: Sync total scores.
Note: Some select Revel titles utilize assignment weighting. For this
reason, only O
verall Scores grade sync is available in these titles.
6. Select Save. Select R
ecent Activity from the Options menu to see up to the last five
grade syncs.
7. Go to your Canvas Grades page to see the Revel assignment grade columns now
entered there.
IMPORTANT:
● In Canvas, Revel grades are listed as the due date for the Revel assignment.
● Revel grades are sent to Canvas as raw points and can’t be synced as percentage
scores. If you prefer to see scores as percentages, you can edit score columns once
they are in Canvas.
● If you only want to sync certain Revel assessments, Chapter Quizzes for example,
into Canvas, set up those quizzes with their own assignment dates in Revel.
● To delete a synced grade, clear the assignment’s check box on the Grade Sync tab of
the Pearson Revel page in Canvas. Then, manually delete the assignment from the
Canvas Assignments page in Canvas to remove the grade from the Canvas Grades.
