Commissioning Design Review Summary
The 95% Construction Documents were reviewed for issues related to commissioning. The review was
restricted to those systems being commissioned; security electronics, mechanical systems (plumbing, irrigation,
and HVAC) and the electrical system including the fire alarm system. Suggestions have been included to
facilitate commissioning related issues such as documentation, testing, training and warranty.
As part of the commissioning process, some new specification sections have been drafted. These are included
as a separate document.

The reviewed Specification contained documents in the following Divisions: 2 through 13, 15 and 16.
Division 14 (Conveying Systems) was not used.

C. Drawings
1. Electrical Summary:
The electrical specifications and drawings were reviewed. Comments were primarily related to the
specifications. Most of the comments had to do with documenting the tests that have been specified
and suggesting additional testing.
2. Electronics Security:
The electronic security specifications and drawings were reviewed. Comments were primarily related
to the specifications. Most of the comments related to better organizing the commissioning related
comments to clarify what the performance and testing requirements are.
3. Mechanical/ Plumbing Summary:
The Mechanical Drawings and Specifications were reviewed. Comments were primarily related to
providing installation details and clarification on drawings on all devices required for balancing and
testing of the mechanical systems. Some comments contained recommendations for a more consistent
design methodology and coordination between the mechanical and electrical disciplines.
