OF ONLINE CLASS
• 1. For the smooth conduct of online classes it is important that students and teachers
are prepared physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.
• 2. All the sessions should be attended on time to avoid interruption.
• 3. Everyone has to be physically presentable following the dress code. One should
situate him/herself in an area with no disturbances (e.g. barking dogs, children and
other personal matters)
• 4. Be responsible for the internet connection. Profile of students will be established in
terms of:

• 5. During the conduct of the online session, one is expected to focus and
participate actively by answering questions and participating in the discussions.
• 6. During lectures, one is expected to put the audio on mute status. If there are
concerns, one may raise his/her hand. One will only unmute the audio when s/he is
recognized and given the time to speak.

• 8. Answers to quizzes, worksheets, assignments, term projects and major exams
should be originally crafted. By being original means that you are the one composing
your answers. Copying of answers and other forms of malicious acts will not be
tolerated. Citations will only be accepted in Term Projects and should be properly
documented as a list of references at the last page of the requirement.
• 9. All requirements shall be submitted online. Electronic portfolios, pictures,
screenshots and uploaded videos may be used as alternative evidence of learning
and could be used as bases in the computation of grades.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
• Art appreciation is a course that develops students’ ability to appreciate, analyze, and
critique works of art.
• Through interdisciplinary and multimodal approaches this course equips students with a
broad knowledge of the practical, historical, philosophical, and social relevance of the arts
in order to hone students’ ability to articulate their understanding of the arts.
• The course also develops students’ competency in researching and curating art as well
as conceptualizing, mounting, and evaluating art productions .
• Aims to develop students’ genuine appreciation for Philippine arts by providing them
opportunities to explore the diversity and richness and their rootedness in Filipino
culture
