Capacity Building Write-Up

NAME: Arianna U. Dela Cruz _ GRD&SECTION: 12 – Hyacintha Mariscotti _

I. INTRODUCTION

The following programs are intended for the small communities in the Philippines,
and the country itself. The programs that follow allow these communities to acquire
competences and abilities that will render them increasingly successful and
sustainable, enhancing the possibility for charitable communities to improve their
lives and address society’s more difficult issues.

What is Capacity Building?

Capacity building is doing whatever it takes to get a charitable

community/organization to another degree of efficiency, economic, or cultural
development so that it can continue to promote its purpose more productively in the
future. Monson-Rosen mentioned in their article about Capacity Building: What it is
and Why it Matters that by definition, it is a measurable improvement in an
organization’s ability to fulfill its mission through a blend of sound management,
strong governance, and dedication to assessing and achieving results.

Community Capacity Building

It is the process of improving the local communities’ ability to create, execute,

and manage their own resolutions to issues that allows them to influence and
manage their physical, social, economic, and cultural situations. A project outline on
Community capacity building: fostering economic and social resilience that was
proposed by Noya and Clarence focuses community capacity building in enabling all
members of the community, including the poorest and the most disadvantaged, to
develop skills and competencies so as to take greater control of their own lives and
also contributes to inclusive local development

II. BODY

Governance and Managerial Skills

This aims to assist the successful facilitation of a discourse regarding board

governance involving people with an interest in economic development.
Responsibilities within committees are discussed, as well as committee tasks,
effective partnership, and developing a practical strategy in adopting good
governance principles, and procedure for attaining individual as well as
organizational success. Learning objective follows:

 Finding similar difficulties and obstacles in governance issues

 Able to resolve recognized difficulties and obstacles
 Analyze common ideas, methods, and regulations in order to build and
show a grasp of good governance
 Able to demonstrate what to do to adapt good governance concepts,
methods and regulations to a given set of requirements and objectives
 Able to help the community accomplish its goals based on the information,
skills, and abilities acquired

Organizing Information Exchange

This focuses on communication as a key strategy, whether in public relations,

marketing, advertising, or promotion. The objective is to build comprehension of the
locals in the community and how to successfully approach them, either by traditional or
social media. Learning objective follows:
 Recognize a range of communicative terminologies
 Recognize different forms of media and how to use them
 Evaluate different audiences and how to approach them
 Determine the numerous channels via which your business may interact
with its audience
 Determine the sorts of information that your community should provide

III. CONCLUSION

This helps organizations by improving skills necessary for regional economic

planning, development, and execution. The component provides interested
stakeholders with capacity building modules, planning sessions, and industry
development workshops that have a direct relationship to economic and business
growth.
