Problem solving can be defined as the process of


identifying a difference between the actual and the desired state
of affairs and then taking action to resolve the difference.

Decision-making
is a process of
solving problem which aims to provide an optimal solution by
careful analysis and identification of the problem, listing of
possible alternatives and selecting the best alternative based on
certain criteria.

In this module we will explore the use and learn the importance of
decision making as a process to achieve a specific goal or
objective. Information and technology is typically used in
business operation which requires effective decision making
determined to implement changes in goals, objectives, policies,
or to incorporate new techniques, approaches, or strategies
within the work place.
