STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Introduction:

My name is Zoheb Mohammed Alyafia, Resident of Saudi Arabia, Abha, Al Hajla 61911. Born in India,
Hyderabad.

I have always had a special interest in computers and they have always been a passion of mine. I wanted a
reputable degree and attain practical experience within the field for a brighter and more comfortable
future to pursue my passion. Which is why I wish to study in Canada and pursue a degree in Bachelor of
Computer science course.

Academics History:

I completed my Higher Secondary education from a CBSE School in 07/2020 with an overall average of
70% in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. In preparation to apply for
Canadian universities I took an English proficiency test IELTS on the date 05-12-2020 and scored 7.0
overall band with 7.5 in listening, 7.0 in reading, 6.0 in writing and 7.5 in speaking.

Immigration history:

I have not applied to Canada for a visa before. This is my first time applying for a Canadian visa.

Why Bachelor of Computer Science:

I am student of Science background with a special interest in Tech. I have always remained passionate
and especially interested in computers and programming. I have decided to opt for Bachelor of Computer
science considering my substantial interest in the field. There is also a growing demand in the sectors all
over the world with the inclining trend in the within fields of technology i.e software development,
Artificial Intelligence, web development, and more. Studying in Canada will provide me with the
educational knowledge and the practical skill set I need to pursue this interest of mine. Moreover, the
degree acquired will also be recognized internationally, giving me the freedom to work anywhere in the
world. Which is why I have chosen to study Bachelor of Computer science.

As a graduate of this course, I will have the specialized knowledge to understand and implement
specialized software in various fields. I will also be provided with the knowledge to utilize different
aspects of software and programming to implement them into a variety of careers on Software
development, Artificial intelligence and machine learning engineer, App tester, Game design, Information
security manager, etc. This qualification reflects my personal aspirations and goals.

The subjects that I will study in this field:

I did a considerable amount of research about Canada and Canadian Universities from websites like
batchelorportal.com and other sites alike that show reputable universities that offer the courses I’m
interested in, especially Artificial intelligence. India only has a handful of quality institutions that offer
these courses and with only a limited number of students that can enroll. Also requiring months of
preparation for an entrance exam that does not guarantee your entrance. There is also the system of
reservation of enrollment making admissions in these institutions even harder. Moreover, I wish to pursue
my degree on an international level to attain a broader recognition globally which will not only get me the
quality skill set I need but also help further my professional career anywhere I apply.

I explored USA, UK, Germany and New Zealand as options for my course and observed the following
points: The cost of education in USA is high. Tuition fee is usually between $10,000 and $50,000 per
year for international students. Universities in USA required additional tests like SAT and depend on
these scores alongside the academics. The degrees of UK are not generally recognized worldwide due to
their shorter time span. Germany requires a proof of German proficiency for the courses and courses
offered in English are limited with usually high tuition fees. New Zealand has exceptionally constrained
alternatives accessible and the ranking of their universities are generally low when compared with
Canadian Universities. Universities in Canada offer worldwide recognition and quality education with
reasonable acceptance rates in the field I’m interested.

Canada education system is organized, highly qualified staff help raise the quality of education. Canada
offers range of study opportunities and support services for international students. Canadian qualifications
are recognized by employers and leading educational institutions in many countries around the world.

Course Benefit and Career Plan:

After completing my course, I will be fully equipped with the necessary knowledge and practical skill
required to be a part of any sector of the computer programming. With the help of this course, I will be
able to develop, test or manage Software, Artificial intelligence, Cyber security and more. Apart from this
I will be enabled to think in a more abstract manner and utilize qualitative and quantitative tools and
methodologies to more effectively communicate my ideas in the field. Additionally, it will allow me the
freedom of choice to work almost anywhere in the world within any of those industries.

After completing my degree, I will have the required knowledge I need from a reputable university to
enable me to pursue a career in the field I am passionate about.

After the completion and graduation, I wish to join into a specialized career path in developing Artificial
intelligence for various use cases, i.e., in the self-driving cars, machine learning in animation, Data
Analyzing, etc. As it as an ever-expanding sector with growing demand and job opportunities with
excellent pay, perfect for my personal interests and skills I will acquire from the course.
Student Visa Conditions:

During my study period I will follow all rules and regulation of Canadian Law.
 I have been accepted by a designated learning institute (DLI).
 show you’re actively pursuing your studies by:
o being enrolled full-time or part-time during each academic semester (excluding
regularly scheduled breaks)
o making progress towards completing your program’s courses, and
o not taking authorized leaves longer than 150 days from your study program

 end your studies if you no longer meet the requirements of being a student, and
 leave Canada when your permit expires
