5. VodcastSomething like a TV program or element of a program.
Just an opportunity to say ‘Wow’ and ‘ThankYou’ for your great work.. But let us see if your answers
are correct by reading the rest of the module.
WHAT IS IT ?
ACTIVITY 1
Ask the students to select at least 3 online content rich interfaces (e.g., learning
management system, blog, and Facebook page) pertaining to their specific academic track.
Ask them to rate each interface according to the simplicity and functionality using the table
below.
Sample screenshot online interfaces
1. Facebook 2. Blog 3.DepedCommon
4. Google Classroom 5.Kinemaster 4.Quipper School
Instruction: Read the questions carefully. Please write your answers in your
notebook.
1. Among your selection, which are your top three favorites? Explain. It would be as follows:
Facebook - Facebook help us students learn better by transforming us from
anonymous spectators into a community of active learners. And I think that this has
important consequences for our student performance. A Facebook group extends
the classroom in time and space. It allows students to interact with one another and
with the subject matter wherever and whenever they choose. It makes us more
active learners.
Google Classrom - using Google Classroom is not only beneficial to us students. It
can save teachers and students’ time and make learning process more effective.
High technology and understandable interface enable teachers to work much easier,
so they can concentrate on their work and the main target of the course instead of
concentrating on solving minor problems such as printing and sharing assignments
or explaining material to each student individually. This can also significantly
decrease budget consumption for further improvement of the learning process.
Kinemaster - The main benefits of KineMaster are its rich feature set, ease of use
and flexibility. Here are the benefits in details. With KineMaster, recording an
audio or video can be done real-time. In fact, you can add effects or alter the entire
video in an instant without the need to complete the recording process.
Guide Questions
1. What can make an online interface difficult to use?
The key concern why the online interface is tricky to use has to do with the design. Online
interface design should be easy to use and intuitive. Some web designers create perplexing designs,
which tends to lead to user confusion. The interface button is not being defined, and the element is
unbalanced. Make sure that the design focuses on anticipating what users might need to do and
ensuring that the interface has elements that are easy to access, understand, and use to facilitate
those actions.
2. What can help an interface user understand or navigate an online interface?
Three main things help most users understand or navigate an online interface:
1. The user is able to recognize the purpose of the Interface. This will usually happen if the
words used in titles and leading texts and on buttons, tabs, menus and links are familiar and
meaningful to the user. And if the purpose itself is familiar to the user.
2. The interface has a clear visual hierarchy. That is, it is obvious to the user which things are
most important, which things are related, which items are grouped. What the user should
read, input or do is arranged in order. A tip: to make an online interface seem easier to use,
make sure to use plenty of white space in the visual design.
3. The interface has clear affordances…that is, it is obvious to the user where to click and where
to input something.

WHAT IS IT?
ACTIVITY 1
Fake news is a type of yellow journalism or propaganda that consists of
deliberate misinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional print and broadcast news
media or online social media.” Research on current events or issue in the Philippines
on which have been the center of controversy and may have been tagged as “Fake
News”.
Write your opinion about the fake news below. Please write your
answers in your notebook.
A conspiracy brought to you by big pharma
According to this theory, pharmaceutical giants that have made a fortune off of
drugs are hiding simple, effective coronavirus treatments so that they can profit from
the sale of a future vaccine. The anti-vaccine movement piggybacks on the delayed
treatment conspiracy.
The coronavirus outbreak has sparked what the World Health Organization refers to as an
"infodemic" — an avalanche of information on social media and websites. Some of it is correct.
Some of it is simply false. As these conspiracy have appeared in social crisis situations, which are
times of heightened collective uncertainty and fear. In my opinion, this exacerbated the pandemic.
It has been proposed that these beliefs are a response to psychological needs, and that they may
represent attempts to comprehend complex, otherwise incomprehensible, and predictable
threatening situations. As a result, it is not surprising that conspiracy theories have flourished in
the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, and that medical and big pharma misinformation is
spreading at an alarming rate.
Temperature as a cure
Just as the scientific community didn’t give Trump’s theories on COVID-19’s
survival in high temperatures a seal of approval – hand dryers and UV lamps don’t
effectively guard against the virus – the WHO has also discredited the idea that cold
weather and snow can kill the new virus. So don’t bother going on an ice cream
binge.
Just as the World Health Organization (WHO) has not said that temperature affects
the spread of 2019-nCoV and they don't recommend exposure to heat as protection or a
treatment for the virus. On its website, the WHO said that there is no specific treatment for
diseases caused by 2019-nCoV, but the symptoms can be treated. It added that "supportive care
for infected persons can be highly effective. Therefore this information has to stop as it can cost
lives.
ACTIVITY 2 !!!!!!!!!
Ask the students to recall stories of how they have used ICTs to be part of a social
movement, change, or cause to illustrate aspects of digital citizenship.
Examples of such are creating poetry online, writing blogs on belief systems, politics, or
about environmental concerns, and participating in a clean-up drive or a fund-raising for
typhoon victims.
Instruct the students to write a journal.
They may also opt to create an online photo narrative or a photo album if there is no
access to the internet to share their stories/experiences.
If the student has no social change or cause involvement, any social event will
do just like a class project, a family affair, or a celebration where the student
could use ICTs to contribute his or her knowledge to make an announcement,
a meme, or a video clip may be used for this class sharing.
Explain that such personal events also have social and cultural significance to
contextualize the student’s rich social experiences.
Guide Questions
1. What advocacy in your professional track have you supported?
In what way did you support it? Did you use any digital tool to do so?
2. How was the ICT experience? Was it positive or negative?
3. How did ICT change the way people communicated? Compare and contrast how things
would have been done had there been no ICTs used and had ICTs been used.
Assessment You may want to use the following rubric for the journal or blog.

Anti-Drugs Media Campaign
Introduction – Anti-Drugs Media Campaign - An anti-drug campaign is a
campaign that aims to educate people about illegal drugs and point them
in the direction of how dangerous illegal drugs can be.
- The aim of the campaign is to rally support and encourage people to act
against drug use. Our goal is to assess the Filipino society especially the
youths and their parents’ level of knowledge and understanding about the
dangers of drugs, including whether the use of media and communication
methods raises awareness about the risks of drug abuse.
Purpose - The purpose of this strategy is to educate people about the dangers of
illegal drugs and to disseminate awareness about the negative
consequences of using them through various medias. Media have come
to play an increasingly important role in public health campaigns due to
their wide reach and ability to influence behavior in a variety of ways.
Description - The Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign Initiative is an educational and
prevention program aimed at youth and parents who are involved with
drugs, children who have been coerced to use drugs, and youth whose
study and outreach activities have made a difference in their lives. et a
target of reducing drug use among its beneficiaries by 90% and
undergoing recovery for 20 children/youth.
- This strategic plan is a synthesis and integration of information from
various sources. A study of published research on the etiology and
prevention of adolescent substance use, as well as drug-prevention
programs, other public health communication campaigns, and general
consumer marketing communication campaigns targeting adolescents
and their parents, are among these outlets.
- The campaign will gather youths and their parents and will be conducted
through facebook live every Saturdays of April 2021 4:00 – 5:00 pm.
Support - The support needed for this project to happen is 1500 pesos per month.
This is to provide for our facebook sponsored post. This will allow us to
