covers all the things that you need to look at while creating concepts,
which is not easy, I get that.

We are looking at how to make context and concept go hand-in-hand

and a lot of exciting things!

Understanding the Context

What is the site demanding from you?

What are the needs of the users of the site?

What do you want to create out of it?

When you are trying to analyze a site, an important thing you need to understand is
the context of the site and how does it fit with your topic?

What problems are the users facing and why?

PS: The takeaways from your research hold a good value in the site analysis. Because,
the things that didn't work out before, have to work out now, in your project.

You also need to define the scope of work of your site after you are done analyzing
the site. If there are certain areas you don't want to get into, now is the time to define
that before you reach the design stage and feel stuck.

Focus on the issues

While creating a concept is a real head-scratcher, focusing on issues helps develop

the first design move.

There is always an issue, a need in the project that you will address. Use that to
develop your first design move, the first baby step.

How can you solve the issue or address the need?

What is the first step you need to take to work on the design move?

Take Feedback
Before you start getting excited about your design moves, pause for a moment and
review your work as an outsider. See if there is anything missing. Take feedback from
your mentor, friends and seniors.

Are you missing something?

Is there any other way of looking at the design move?

Are there any issues you still need to address?

Did you include the design ideas you have been obsessing on in the past?

Which takeaways did you include from the case studies and research?

Add Activities
Now is the time to detail out all the activities in your drawings and elevations, because
in the end it's the people you are doing this for.

Elevations
When you start making changes in the layout after the feedback, start with elevation
simultaneously.

This way you might end up creating an amazing elevation and work on the layout
according to that which is totally okay because the design is not restricted to layout
plan or site plan.
