QFFICE MEMORANDUM In accordance with the provsions contained in Office Memorandum No F.25 (IIYDGEHS 140/DHS / 2011/38850-55 dated 28/07/2010, regarding adoption of CS (MAYCGHS provision, the guidelines regarding issue of Glucometer and Glucostics to all beneficiaries of DGEHS suffering from Diabetes Mellitus are laid down as under: (@). Reimbursement of expenses on Glucosties to DGEHS beneficiaries is recommended to the following categories related to Diabetes Mellitus, on the advice of Specialist doctors of Government Hospitals:- @_ Diabetic Cellulitis (ii) Diabetic foot/ Diabetic Gangrene ii) Diabetes Mellitus with CRF stage Ill & above (iv) Diabetes Mellitus Type I (v) Brittle Diabetes Mellitus (vi) Diabetes Mellitus Type II during initiation of Insulin (one month only). Tne maxi-aum limit of Giucostrips to be reimbursed has been kept as 25 numbers per month limited to the rate of Rs. 25/- per strip. (b). Glucometer may be issued to the DGEHS beneficiaries suffering from Diabetic Gangrene to monitor the sugar level on regular basis.
