1. What are the five health-related fitness components that will be developed when you are
designing an exercise program?

-Cardiovascular Endurance
-Muscular Strength
-Muscular endurance
-Flexibility
-Body Composition

2. Briefly discuss the different factors you have to consider in choosing your activities for
your fitness program plan.
 Fun and Interest- Your fitness program is much more likely to be successful if
you choose activities that you enjoy doing.
 Your current skill and fitness level- Although many activities are appropriate for
beginners, some sports and fitness activities require participants to have a
moderate level of skill to obtain fitness benefits.
 Time and convenience- Unless exercise fits easily into your daily schedule, you
unlikely to maintain your program over the long term.
 Cost- Some sports and other activities require equipment, fees, or some type of
membership investment. If you are on tight budget limit your choices to activities
that are inexpensive or free.
 Special Health Needs- If you have a special exercise needs due to a particular
health problem, choose activities that will conform you to your needs and enhance
your ability to cope. If it is necessary, consult a doctor about how best fit an
exercise program is your particular needs and goals.
3. Explain why goal setting is important in designing a fitness program plan.

If we don't set fitness goals it becomes hard for us to stay fit because we don't have goals.
Not being fit is not healthy, not healthy is bad for our body so we must stay fit. Doing
Exercise is Great for our body, not doing exercise is bad for the body without it, it may
cause body problems. It is important because Fitness testing helps the fitness professional
to measure and review a client's progress and develop a program to suit. Measuring a
client's progress is an important part of personal training, whether it's noting when a
client has succeeded in lowering their blood pressure or measuring a decrease in body fat.
It can help us to have a plan in every week so that it will be guide us in physical fitness
that we do.
