ACTIVITY 3

This portrait of myself is taken in a coffee shop. The

technique that I used to achieve this style is through using
editing apps that can make my photo improve from its original
form. I also adjusted the saturation as well as contrast to achieve
that dark colored photo. While taking the photo, my photographer
used grid lines to align the photo to its perfect angle and didn’t
used flash so that shadows that is caused because of the lights
behind me will not be removed.
ACTIVITY 4

In the place where I live, which is Cebu, Sinulog festival is

being celebrated. Sinulog festival is a traditional celebration in my
home town Cebu that is held every Sunday of January to give
honor to the Santo Niño child. The rituals and activities being
done by this festival is through dance rituals where it tells the
story of the people of the Philippines pagan past and their
acceptance of Christianity.

In the dance, dancers usually wear moro-moro costumes and
the queen of Sinulog wears a big gown and will dance the Santo
Niño with grace and faith. Sinulog originated in Cebu City and the
statue of Sinulog was handed to the Rajah Humabon of Cebu by
the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan this happened on
year 1521.
As I interviewed an old person, she stated that the first
Sinulog festival parade was being held on the year 1980 in which
organized by David Odilao. She also said that the parade was
composed of students dressed in knitted filipiniana costumes and
dances with the beat of the drums.
ACTIVITY 5

Plaza Moriones is a public square in Intramuros, Manila. It is

located in front of the entrance to fort Santiago and it is one of
the three major plazas in Intramuros. The other two plazas are
namely, Plaza de Roma and Plaza de Armas. Plaza Moriones was
originally known as Plaza de la Fuerza where it was an old empty
lot which served as a military promenade for soldiers barracked
inside fort Santiago. Knowing more about the plaza and its
history, I would love to go to this location and I can surely be
amazed by its beauty.
