Objectives:
*- To be familiar with the protective devices for electric
wiring.
*-To study the calculation of customer electric cost.

Questions:
1- What is the function of electric fuse?
Its essential component is a metal wire or strip that melts
or strip that melts too much current flows, which
interrupts the circuit in which it is connected. A fuse
interrupts excessive current (blows) so that further
damage by overheating or fire is prevented.
2- What is the function of circuit breaker?
To protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by
overload or short circuit. Its basic function to detect a
fault condition and, by interrupting continuity to
immediately discontinue electrical flow.
3- What is the function of earth leakage circuit breaker?
An ELCB detectes even a small current to earth (earth
leakage ) and disconnects the equipment (circuit breaker)

4- A typical house contains air condition, clothes dryer,
range, refrigerator, lighting and other appliances.
Complete the table , given cost for KWh is 3 fils. Calculate
the bill of the house for July.
