Open Ended Problem#1 - EMF Lab

This document provides an open-ended problem assignment for an Electric Machinery Fundamentals course. Students are asked to connect three single-phase transformers into various three-phase configurations in MATLAB and analyze the no-load voltages and regulation under load. They must submit a simulation file and detailed lab report. The problem requires applying knowledge of power systems and transformer design principles.

Problem Statement:
• To connect three single phase transformers into a three-phase transformer for all possible
winding configurations (Δ-Δ, Δ-Y, Y-Δ and Y-Y) in MATLAB.
• To find out No load line and phase voltages at both primary and secondary side of
transformer.
• Find out phase difference between primary and secondary voltage.
• Find out Voltage Regulation at rated load of above designed three phase transformers.

Note: Each group is required to submit Simulation file and detailed report (Lab Report
Rubrics present in Lab Manual may be consulted for report format).

There are following restriction for input and output of a transformer.
