Set Fire To The Rain by Adele

Set Fire to the Rain is a song by Adele from her 2011 album 21. The song describes a past relationship where the singer felt hurt and betrayed by her partner. She questions things he had said that were untrue. Despite this, she still finds herself longing for him and unable to fully let him go from her thoughts. to the Rain" is a song by British singer-songwriter Adele from her second studio album

While listening: Circle the word you listen to

I let it fall, my hurt / my heart

And as it fell, you rose to claim it,

It was dark/ down and I was over/ owner

Until you kissed my lips and you saved me,

My head/ hands, they were strong, but my knees/ niece were far too weak,

To stand in your arms without falling to your feel / feet

But there's a side to you that I never knew, never knew,

All the things you'd say, they were never true, never true,

And the games you'd play, you would always win, always win,

But I set fire to the rain,

Watched it pour as I touched, your face/ faith

Well, it burned while I cried,

'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name,

When laying with you I could stay there,

Close/ Open my eyes, feel you here forever,

You and me together, nothing is bitter/ better

'Cause there's a side to you that I never knew, never knew,

All the things you'd say, they were never true, never true,
And the games you'd play, you would always win, always win,

But I set fire to the rain,

Watched it pour as I touched your face/faith

Well, it burned while I cried,

'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name

I set fire to the rain,

And I threw us into the blames/flames

Well, I felt something day/ die

'Cause I knew that that was the last time, the last time,

Sometimes I wake up by the door/ the floor

And heard you calling, must be waiting for you,

Even that when we're already over,

I can't help myself from looking for you,

I set fire to the rain,

Watched it pour as I touch your face/ faith

Well, it burned while I cried,

'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name

I set fire to the rain,

And I threw us into the blames/ flames

Well, I felt something day/ die

'Cause I knew that that was the last time, the last time, oh,

Oh, no, Let it burn, oh, Let it burn, Let it burn.
