Identify and explain the role different centers in the HR policy review
Policy review is a process to evaluate the working of a particular policy. When a policy is not
working properly a review is done and sometimes a change in the policy may make it effective.
However the different responsibility centers in the HR policy include the following; Board of
directors, human resource manager’s line managers and employees, all the different roles they
play in the HR policy review especially after the spark of covid-19 are as discussed below.

Board of directors
Compensation and benefits administrations, the board of directors promote information
regarding the company’s compensation and benefits plans and policies ,for example the policies
regarding promotions and bonuses due to the fact that it’s the board of directors responsible for
governance and support of the organization. Its role is basically to review revise the
compensation and benefits addressed to the employees by the company as to on speedy growth
market.

Human resource manager

Pay roll interface; this involves information on salary, wage, benefits. Due to Covid-19 spark off
managers have to review this policy or to act as the salary expectations, since the economy has
been affected by Covid-19, salaries have been declining for most organizations, hence to address
it with immediate effect by reviewing and updating for stable growth of the company.

Health and safety

Managers can provide the SOPs requirements like masks, sanitizers, to their employees and work
more on ventilation for good aeration

They can still advise the employees to go and vaccinate and actually make a step that every
employee accesses the work place after presenting their vaccination cards, ensure temperature
measurement tools at the entrances.

Performance evaluation
Managers review this policy since most of the employees will be working from home through
zoom, calls, emails, sms, since there is no physical supervision.

This can be through time and attendance, due to the Covid-19 situation, managers revise the
reporting time and departure time and this can be donor through reducing working hours since
curfew was implemented, however according to attendance review is made since essential
workers are required to report on daily basis unlike the others who were required to work from
home or resort to working in shifts.

Line managers
Since they are mainly supervisors and do most of the ground work, they mainly relate with
performance evaluation since most of the employees are required to work from home, line
managers are required to supervise their progress adoptability accountability towards the Covid
19 situation hence they have to review the policy so as to know how to get good progress in the
organization, hence engage in sms, emails, zoom meeting.

Employees
Health and safety are the most important policy employee has to look out for because health is
wealth, they can as well read, review, and share the options. Hence they are required to request
management to provide SOPs requirements like masks, sanitizers, and in case they feel sick with
covid-19 symptoms they are required to reach out to the nearest health centers.

Be cautious of anything or anyone know everyone is their responsibility

Report cases of their co-workers who are sick, be flexible and adopt to the technology
innovations of work, like attending zoom meetings Google meets video calls use emails.

When there are many policies to, this brings in confusion for policy to relate with hence leading
to frustration with ineffective tools like emails.

Lack of flexibility/adoptability
This mainly applies to the employees for example adopting to the innovation and trainings
scheduled about online meetings like zoom meetings since most of them were already used to the
physical approach of things.

Limited collaboration
When most of the people in the organization are not willing to collaborate to the available
policies hence leading to frustration with ineffective tools like emails.

Failure to meet the target

Employees might not be able to meet the expectations since they are not continuously physically
supervised due to the covid-19 restrictions and adjustments.

Some policy documents and files go missing or misplaced increasing duplication and privacy
breaches.
