Healthy lifestyle

Introduction

Eating healthy isn’t

always as easy as it
sounds.

Let’s be honest,
teenagers are lazy, they
are more likely to go to
their local fast food
restaurant like kfc or
McDonalds for lunch
instead of making a
proper nutritional meal
as its less time
consuming, cheaper and
easier. Yes, having a
McDonalds every now and
then seems a lot easier
and its cheaper but it
soon has an effect on
your body and so effects
your lifestyle. But then
again not everyone can
afford to live a healthy
lifestyle all the time as
it is so much more
expensive, but why?

What is the different

between organic milk and
normal milk for example?
Organic food is when the
farming system avoids the
use of man – made
fertilisers and
pesticides etc meaning
the prices goes up when
sold in stores. This is
hard when not everybody
can afford these prices
especially when a normal
carton of milk is only
£1.15 from Tesco and it
shoots up to £1.60 when
you buy organic milk.
This 45p difference might
not seem like a lot but
it all adds up when you
are buying it once or for
some people even twice a
week. This is why it’s a
struggle to have this
perfect healthy lifestyle
that we all wish for when
not everyone is able to
pay these prices when
doing their weekly shop.

Covid 19, it has had a

huge impact on everyone
and people have lost jobs
and money has become a
struggle for lots of
people pushing more and
more people into poverty.
It has exposed food
poverty and sadly diet
related disease and
issues. It’s been shown
that even child obesity
has worsen in England
throughout lockdown and
this global pandemic and
particularity in those
families who are most
deprived with money
problems meaning they
struggle to eat a healthy
balanced diet because
they just can’t afford it
or don’t have the time to
make a healthy meal. It,
is a huge problem that is
growing more and more
every day in Britain.

Thankyou for taking the

time to listen to today’s
show, I hope that you
have gathered some
insight into the
importance of being
healthy and why you
shouldn’t just grab
chocolate bars and fast
food so often because it
is cheap and instead its
important to make healthy
and nutritional meals to
stay fit and healthy as
well as making sure you
exercise at least once a
week especially as a
teenager whilst growing
up.
