Professor Rippard

From the data I have collected, it seems that my teaching is not helping the students understand the
material based on the class average of 66% and 9 of the students have a below average score. Majority of
the students understand subtraction with only 5 students getting below 80 % average on the subtraction
questions. In my next class I would focus more on division with it having the lowest scores. At this point in
this semester, Juan would be my top student because he got a 100% on everything. Cody is my next best
student with missing only one question to have an average of 93%. Cody would only need a little help with
Addition since that is the type of question, he got wrong. Hugh, Jack, Jamal would all be in the top best
students because they all got the third best score of 80%, therefore I could not pick just one student. Hugh
does extremely well in addition and just needs more attention too division. Jack does well in all categories
and possibly just need a little more clarity. Jamal does extremely well in subtraction but just like most of
the class, needs more help in division. Luke had a score of 40% as an average and in every category. I
would recommend a tutoring session with him as well. Patrick, Nathan, and Claire all have a score average
of 47%. Patrick needs extra support in subtraction and Division the most, Nathan and Claire need help in
addition and subtraction. Sarah and Molly both have a score of 53% and the lowest score for the females.
Sarah’s’ need of concentration should be on Division and Molly focus should be on addition however
needs help in all categories. As a teacher I would be disappointed that how I teach was not helping
understand the material and would immediately find a different approach.
