or safety glasses must be worn every
time work operations can cause foreign
items to get in the eye. These should be
worn at all times especially during
welding, grinding, cutting, nailing, or

concrete.
c. Head Protection - Workers should always
wear a hard hat at all times and in all parts

falling from above, or accidental contact
with electrical hazards.
d. Hand and Skin Protection – The
workers must always use gloves
to avoid hazards involved with
chemicals, sheet metal, glass, or
electrical work. Occupational skin
diseases are as common as skin
cancers, dermatitis, and other
skin injuries, and infections are
the second most common kind of
occupational disease.
e. Foot Protection – The Construction
workers should always wear work shoes
with puncture-resistant and slip-resistant
soles. They should prevent crushed toes when working around
falling objects or heavy equipment.
Managing Safety and Health on Construction Sites
