Australian Army Shoulder titles – a collector’s reference.

A guide to post 1960 metal shoulder title insignia.

The Australian Army since 1960 have worn metal shoulder titles on their uniforms –
mostly on the polyester Ceremonial Dress Uniform, Ceremonial Service Dress Uniform,
Jungle Green uniform and Safari suit. They come in staybright (anodised aluminium),
bright shine and in some cases gold plate. RAAC, AAAvn and RAANC ones are chrome
in colour. A couple of titles are black in colour.

Quite a few regimental and corps title exist in a thicker metal and were unofficially made
by a manufacturer in Bribie Island, Queensland when official Army supplies ran dry.
