ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE

Enterprise Structure in SAP is an organizational unit. It consists of some organizational units


of different Modules created for Business related reasons and are grouped together.

Enterprise Structure design in SAP is a process for implementation project.

ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE IN SAP FICO MODULE:

> Client

> Chart of Accounts

> Company

> Company Code

> Profit Center

> Cost center

> Segment

1. CLIENT:
A Client is an independent organizational unit. Organization structure are stored at client
level, A Client is positioned in the highest level in the Enterprise Structure.

2. CHART OF ACCOUNTS:
Chart of Accounts is created at the client level in FI. After its creation we assign chart of
Accounts to company code in SAP Enterprise structure.

3. COMPANY:
Company represents as a group in a SAP, A Company represent an individual Entity for
which we prepare a consolidation Balance sheet, Profit & Loss A/c. In SAP we define
company with 6 Alphanumeric Characters. In SAP company is optional. T-Code to define
company is (OX02).
4. COMPANY CODE:
Company code is the smallest organizational unit of Financial Accounting in SAP. It is an
individual Entity within the Organization; we define company with 4 Alphanumeric
Character, to draw individual financial statements like Balance sheet, Profit & Loss A/c, and
trial balance for purpose of external reporting. To define Company Code T-Code is (OX15).
