Passing Judgment for consumption of carcass.
Labelling whole or part of carcass with suspicious signs.
Labelling, packing and sending samples.
Collecting information during post-mortem examination.
Cleaning, disinfecting and storing post mortem area and equipment.
Completing Personal biosecurity clean-up.
This guide will also assist you to attain the learning outcome stated in the cover page.
Specifically, upon completion of this Learning Guide, you will be able to –

Collect information during post-mortem examination.
Clean, disinfect and store post mortem area and equipment.
Complet Personal biosecurity clean-up.

6. If you earned a satisfactory evaluation proceed to “Information Sheet 2”. However, if your
rating is unsatisfactory, see your teacher for further instructions or go back to Learning
Activity #1.

21. Do the “LAP test” in page 17 (if you are ready). Request your teacher to evaluate your
performance and outputs. Your teacher will give you feedback and the evaluation will be
either satisfactory or unsatisfactory. If unsatisfactory, your teacher shall advice you on

Partially condemned for human consumption
Conditionally approved for human consumption
Inferior meat
Approved for human consumption with distribution restricted to limed areas

Personal biosecurity clean-up include:
Clothing changed and placed in appropriate bin for laundering
Disposable gloves are disinfected before being disposed
Footwear disinfected if appropriate
Hands thoroughly washed and dried
