It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation letter on behalf of Ms. Julia Caiazzo.

  I
have had the privilege of working closely with Julia on classroom lessons that compliment all
curriculum areas.  As an intern at Stepney Elementary, Julia has had hands-on experience in all
classes, from Kindergarten through Grade 5.  Classroom plans were executed in all subject areas.
Julia has always had a consistent positive attitude which made it easy for staff members to
admire and respect her.

Julia is an exceptional teacher and naturally knows how to meet the needs of children.  This
included children with varied learning styles and abilities.  She enjoyed teaching students in
whole groups as well as small groups. Julia identified those students in need of extra support and
readily met with them on a one to one basis. She worked hard to differentiate instruction in order
for all students to be successful in the classroom.  I found Julia to be a strong communicator with
students, staff and parents. She is able to take command of a classroom in such a way that
students wanted to pay attention. She has the insight and ability to reflect on her management
techniques in the classroom and lessons taught.   She always considered ways to adjust and grow.
Julia will seek advice from seasoned teachers and has helped to work collaboratively on building
projects. She participated in many school activities while at Stepney like Winter Carnival, the
Halloween Party, and a STEAM enrichment class after school.

I have been fortunate to serve as Julia’s mentor in my second grade classroom.  Her lessons were
inclusive of math, reading, phonics, writing, science and social studies. Julia participated in
curriculum planning, which is expected of teachers weekly. Additionally, she worked closely
with me in writing student’s progress reports; attended PPT’s, 504’s and SRBI sessions for
students in the classroom. Julia worked as a team player when discussing and incorporating the
Common Core Curriculum.  Technology was also incorporated into lessons across the
curriculum.  As we moved to Distance Learning, Julia continued to play a vital role using her
skills to teach and enhance curriculum for students. She has been a valuable asset to my class this
year and it was my privilege to work with her.

Julia is a multifaceted teacher who has a natural instinct for instructing and working with
children. I would highly recommend her for a position in an elementary school. She is a
conscientious, organized, thoughtful, responsible and smart educator who makes a difference in
the lives of students.  She is an asset to any employer and has a very bright future ahead of her.

Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Sincerely,
Lisa Martinsky
