RATIONALE
The hair is our crowning glory that holds true to most people, since it is one of
the things that leave a lasting impression when we first met someone. The way that
we carry our hair, enhance to grow our hair are visible traits that can greatly affect the
way that other people look at. This is the reason why we need to take extra care of our
hair. Our hair and scalp, just like our skin needs specially care and attention.
Hair is made of keratin, a protein generated by hair follicles in the skin’s outer
layer. As we get older, we further notice on the problems on our hair. Nowadays,
some girls and boys specifically the millenials who ages 16-18 years old Hair loss,
infections, and flaking are all common problems with the hair and scalp. For decades,
traditional plant treatments have been used to cure hair loss, but only a handful have
been properly tested. A tropical fruit that is highly relished for its unique aroma and
sweet taste knowed as Pineapple (Ananas Comosus). It is renowned as a flavourful
fruit since it contains a number of volatile compounds in small amounts and complex
mixtures. Pineapple is also a rich source of minerals and vitamins that offer a number
of health benefits. Ranked third behind banana and citrus, the demand for pineapple
has greatly increased within the international market.
According to Health line, vitamin C is a powerful anti-oxidant that helps
protect against the oxidative stress caused by free radicals. In addition, our body
needs vitamin c to create a protein known as collagen which is an important part of
hair structure. In this way, Pineapple helps to encourage healthier hair growth. We
will also include the ingredients of honey and olive oil for the product. The main
compound that we need from the honey is its moisture since it has both

Statement of the Problem
This study aims to validate pineapple (Ananas Comosus) juice extract as hair
growth enhancer. The following questions will be addressed in this research:
1. Does the Pineapple (Ananas Comosus) Juice Extract contains vitamin C, emollient,
humectant, and anti-oxidants for enhancing hair growth?
2. How long will it take for the product to take effect and see the results?
3. Does the product causes irritation on the hair and scalp after applying it?
Significance of the Study
This experiments outcome will give easily available information and features
for utilizing Pineapple (Ananas Comosus) Juice Extract to the following beneficiaries:
People with Anemia
Mothers with Postpartum Depression (PPD)
Society
Entrepreneurs

Scope and Delimitation
This Study focuses in using Pineapple (Ananas Comosus) Juice Extract as the
main ingredient for the hair growth enhancer.
