GECSTS MODULE 5

AGUSTIN,APRIL JOY B. BPED-1B

A. ENGAGE

Define and describe your view of a good life.

__For me, I'm content with a life that is full of happiness and love, as well as a life that is peaceful. I have
a supportive family who always encourages me in my endeavors, and I have a friend who is always there
for me when I'm down.

What must you do or have done that will help you achieve the good life?

__All I do in myself is concentrate on my life's dreams and goals because it is my mother's dream for me
to graduate. To always be happy and optimistic.

To what extent are you willing to do and sacrifice just to reach it?

__I'm going to focus on my goals and give everything I've got. But this time I'll be much wiser.

B. EXPLORE

In the book Nicomachean Ethics, the author stated that “All human activities aim at some good”.

What activities illustrate what Aristotle is referring to? Is he referring to all actions as all good?

1. Create a list of random activities you do from early morning until you go to sleep at night.

I awoke and washed my face

I work out

Not only that, but I clean my teeth

I'm going to take a bath

I eat while I read my books

Milk Consumption

Sleeping

Purchasing a dish

Cooking

I'm having dinner

Soaking in the tub

Toothbrush

Playing Video Games

Sleeping

2. Going through your list, put a STAR at the end of every activity where you benefit from.

3. Put a CIRCLE at the end if others benefit from that action.

4. Put a SQUARE at the end if no one benefits from it.

5. Compare your stars, circles, and squares. Describe.

Those that I have given a star to are those that will benefit my health, personal well-being, and
enjoyment. Those I put in a circle who help around the house, such as cooking a meal.

C. ELABORATE

Going back through your list of random activities.

create a second list by improving those marked with a star or circle.

To become physically fit

to become healthy

to have fun in life

The new list shall be your bucket list serving as a reminder and guide you to achieving the Good Life.

For me, a good life consists of contentment and happiness, which means that you should always be
content with what you have and be happy all the time. Always pray for your family, friends, and yourself
to be in good health.

E. EVALUATE

Essay/Reflection

The good life, according to Aristotle, is the happy life, because happiness is an end in itself. Aristotle
develops a theory of the good life, also known as eudaimonia, in the Virtue Ethics. Humans. Perhaps the
best translation of eudaimonia is flourishing, or living well and doing well. There are several other
reasons to believe that scientific and technological advancements lead to a better world. And more
fulfilling way of life The bottom line is that discovery is an ongoing process. Every day is a new chance to
learn something new.
