As part of any recruitment process, Sharon Nurock Recruitment cc, (“SNR”, “Recruiter”, “we” or “us”) collects and
processes Personal Data relating to job applicants (“Data Subject”, “Applicant” or “you”). We are committed to
being transparent about how we collect and use that Data and to meeting its obligations in terms of Data Protection
Laws in a lawful, legitimate and responsible manner. To discharge this duty, we require your express and informed
permission to Process your Personal Data.
Definitions
In this Consent the following expressions and words have the meanings assigned to them and derivative
expressions and words will have a corresponding meaning:
“Consent” means this document in terms whereof the Applicant as Data Subject provides the Recruiter
with consent to Process the Applicants Personal Data;
“Data” means any data, including personal information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information
Act, 2013 (Act No. 4 of 2013), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (Act No. 25 of
2002), General Data Protection Regulation, Personal Data and/or any equivalent legislation of the
jurisdictions(s) where this Consent is granted;
Data Protection Laws" means all applicable law relating to data protection, privacy and security when
processing Data under this Consent. This includes without limitation applicable international, regional,
federal or national data protection, privacy, export or data security directives, laws, statures, regulations,
rulings, decisions and other binding restrictions of, or by, any judicial or administrative body, whether
domestic, foreign or international, including the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002
(Act No. 25 of 2002), the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (Act No. 4 of 2013) and General
Data Protection Regulation;
“Personal Data” shall mean personal data as defined in the Data Protection Laws, including any information
relating to an identified or identifiable individual (including, but not limited to, name, postal address, email
address, telephone number, date of birth, social security number, driver’s license number, other
government-issued identification number, financial account number, credit or debit card number, insurance
ID or account number, health or medical information, consumer reports, background checks, biometric data,
digital signatures, any code or password that could be used to gain access to financial resources, or any
other unique identifier) that is Processed by the Recruiter under this Consent;
“Process” shall mean any operation, or set of operations, performed on Data, by any means, such as by
collection, recording, organization, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure
by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, blocking, erasure
or destruction and “Processing” shall have a corresponding meaning;
• your name, address and contact details, including email address and telephone number;
• details of your qualifications, skills, experience and employment history;
• information about your current level of remuneration, including benefit entitlements; and
• whether or not you have a disability for which the organisation needs to make reasonable adjustments during
the recruitment process.
We collect this information in a variety of ways, which include but is not limited to data which might be contained
in application forms, CVs or resumes, obtained from your passport or other identity documents, or collected
through interviews or other forms of assessment. We may also collect Personal Data about you from third parties,
such as references supplied by former employers. We will seek information from third parties only once a job offer
to you has been made and will inform you that we are doing so.
Data will be stored in a range of various places, including on your application record, in human resource
management systems and on other IT systems (including email).

What information do we collect?
• your name, address and contact details, including email address and telephone number;
• details of your qualifications, skills, experience and employment history;
• information about your current level of remuneration, including benefit entitlements; and
• whether or not you have a disability for which the organisation needs to make reasonable adjustments during
the recruitment process.
We collect this information in a variety of ways, which include but is not limited to data which might be contained

• perform appropriate checks on job history, criminal records, education, skills qualifications, registrations,
licenses and credit history;
• refer you as a candidate for employment with our customers or employ you as staff within our own environment;
• notify you of the Recruiters various goods and services on offerings through various mediums and platforms,
subject to your right at any time to opt out of such communication;
• perform its various recruitment, human resources and capital operations, as well as ensuring timeous and
accurate payroll functions, the proper administration of your employment benefits, where applicable;
• comply with the applicable labour, tax and financial legislation;
• conclude an agreement with you;
• keep record in accordance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, 1997 (“BCEA”) and other applicable
laws;
The following persons or departments will have access, under strict confidentiality, to your Personal Data:
• Third parties: Whenever we commission other organisations to provide support services to us, we will bind
them to our privacy policies as far as they may be required to have access to our clients’ Personal Data to
perform such services.
• Clients: Where you are being referred for a position at a client of ours, the client will be given sufficient Personal
Data on which they can base their decision to employ you.
• Internal staff: Our recruiters and recruitment related roles, Management, Human Resource department, Payroll
department, Finance department shall be given sufficient access to your Personal Data to perform their
duties.
