The Teacher and The State Module

Schools are called the "nurseries of the state" because they cultivate future citizens and transfer cultural heritage to students. Teachers can help elevate morality and promote patriotism by broadening their understanding of how to foster national pride and cultivate patriotism. When hiring teachers, employers consider a candidate's physical, mental, and moral fitness by testing their capabilities through demonstrations and interviews. Professional teachers are prohibited from engaging in political, religious, or partisan promotion or taking money or materials from students according to the code of conduct. Academic freedom means teachers have the flexibility to modify lessons beyond the curriculum.

1. Why are schools called the “nurseries of the citizens of the state”?

- Schools are the nurseries of the state's future citizens; each teacher is a trustee of
the nation's cultural and educational heritage and is obligated to transfer such
heritage to learners as well as to enhance national morals, encourage national
pride, develop love of country, and so on.
2. “Each teacher is a trustee of the cultural and educational heritage of the nation and is
under obligation to transmit and to learn such heritage” In what ways can teacher do this?
- By improving national morals, developing national pride, cultivating patriotism,
instilling allegiance to the constitution and all duly constituted authorities, and
encouraging obedience to state laws.
3. In what ways can the professional teacher help elevate national morality, promote
national provide and cultivate love of country?
- By broadening their understanding of how to foster national pride and cultivate
patriotism, they will be able to better serve their country.
4. What steps do employers take to ensure that a teacher is physically, mentally and morally
fit?
- The first thing to consider is a teacher's flexibility to do the tasks of her chosen
profession. To measure a teacher's capabilities in terms of physical attributes, a
demonstration can determine if the teacher can handle certain situations in the
field, and to measure its mental capability, an interview must be conducted to test
the teacher's ability to think normally or critically in any scenario.
5. Cite actions of a professional teacher that violate Section 5, Article II?
- Section 5 of Article II states that the teacher shall not engage in promotion that is
related to political, religious, or partisan aspects, as this will be biased for her co-
teachers or even her students because this is not part of her promises to her duties
during oath taking. In addition, teachers who take money or materials from their
pupils for their own benefit must not be tolerated because teaching is a job and
they are already paid by the government; this type of violation is absurd to her or
all teachers, and it also contradicts the aim of her teaching.
6. How can a professional teacher violate Section 6 and Section 7 of Article II?
- If a teacher uses her job to urge kids, parents, and co-teachers to support a
person's political willingness. A high school teacher, for example, who
encourages her students to vote for a political office held by someone close to her
during an election is clearly breaking Article II, Section 7.
7. Every teacher shall enjoy academic freedom. What does academic freedom mean?
- Academic freedom of a teacher indicates that the teacher is not only teaching
because of the monthly salary she receives, but she is also required to modify
learning, not simply rely on the content of the curriculum, but her
recommendations and adjustments must be considered.
