• After viewing your result. Write down your reflections about it. Which area you need to pay
more attention in improving and how do you plan to do it.
- I knew after taking the quiz that I did well in some areas. However, when the results were released, I
received a stress score of 2 out of 10 and a positive thinking score of 7 out of 10. It is significant to me that
this positive thinking received a 7 out of 10. I expected it to be perfect, but I guess I don’t really have that
much positivity in my mind. These two areas, stress, and positive thinking are the ones that I need to focus
on a lot more in order to improve my overall well-being. Positive thinking: I can improve it by letting those
negative thoughts go away in my head, but it isn’t easy, and I know I can do it if I try hard enough. Making
gratitude a habit is another thing that I believe will help me improve my positive mindset. It’s like keeping
a journal in which I can record all of my thoughts, experiences, and observations that make me feel
grateful and capable of appreciating the good things that have happened to me. Also, focusing solely on
the positive is one way to improve my positive thinking because if we only focus on the positive and let
our negative thoughts fade away, it can help me improve my thoughts without allowing any negative
thoughts to impede them. Then there’s stress, which I scored the lowest on. I believe that stress is normal
for me because I experience it frequently and because I am a student. Stress is not only harmful to our
mental health, but it is also harmful to our physical health. There are some things that I believe will help
me improve it. One is to go outside, find a beautiful view, and take a deep breath. Going out allows me
and my brain to release stress that I can’t release because I’m always in my room, and seeing those
beautiful views makes me feel better. Engage in self-relaxation by doing some exercises, yoga, prayer, and
spending time with nature or listening to music is also one way to improve it. Finally, take breaks when
necessary. Taking a break allows me to reorganize and revitalize my thoughts and focus. This will assist
me in completing my tasks and remaining productive. So, these are the things that I know will be effective
in helping me improve those aspects of myself that require improvement.
• List down your stressors and ways on how to cope with them:
Stressors Coping
Deadlines - I make it a point to organize my work and improve my time
management because it is the only way to meet deadlines and
avoid procrastination.
Changes in my bodies (like flaws) - I didn't want the way my body had changed at first, but as I
eventually learned and embraced all of my flaws, I accepted
them as normal for a teenager like me.
Heavy workloads - I frequently have heavy workloads because I sometimes
can't balance being a daughter and a student at the same
time, so my workloads were becoming increasingly heavy for
me. Recently, I've been looking for ways to deal with a
problem that has been causing me stress. Even if the amount
of time due is lengthy, I try to complete my tasks within a day
as much as possible. As a result of passing, it before its due
date, I am able to handle all of my work responsibly.
Facing discrimination - In my relatives being fat matters since most of my cousins
were all skinny. There’s some point that I didn’t eat for days
since I didn’t want to say them to me that I am fat. But, as I
grew older, I discovered ways to deal with it. I just ignore my
relatives who tell me I'm fat and go with the flow. I stopped
starving myself and did what made me happy.
Emotional Problems - Whenever I am experiencing emotional difficulties, I take
some time to relax. I go outside to relax and breathe in some
fresh air. I also diverted my attention to something else so
that I wouldn't become too engrossed in my problems.
Grades - When I'm stressed about my grades, I find ways to cope.
First, I kept myself calm so that I didn't become overly
concerned about my grades. At last, I remind myself that
there will always be a next time, and I will definitely work hard
so that I can get the grades that I want.
Being a student and a daughter at - Time management has always been one of my coping
the same time mechanisms in this situation. As a daughter who is responsible
for household chores, I always plan out what I should do first.
So, I do all of the chores in the morning and my student duties
in the afternoon, but depending on my schedule, it could be
the other way around. That's how I do it when I'm stressed
about something.
Expectations - My parents have high expectations for me, which makes me
anxious. Since this happened to me recently, I've devised a
strategy to deal with it. I opened up to them and had a deep
conversation with them, explaining how difficult it is to study
right now and telling them not to expect too much from me
because it will put pressure on me and affect my performance
in school. So, as a result they didn't have high expectations of
me because they now understand me and don't want to put
pressure on me.
