ANNEXURE I
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The Euro-Clean is an improved system and process for the elimination of suspended
solids from water and wastewater on a commercially viable scale. Taking deep-bed
filtration to levels previously not thought possible in terms of both speed and filtrate
quality (Down to 0.2 micron).
How It Works
Euro-Clean uses 4 layers of proprietary filter media. The inert natural media
have an increasing density, a decreasing particle size and specific shape factor.
High filtration velocities up to 50m3/m2hr
High solid holding capacity up to 500mg/l
Backwash water consumption, 0.5 to 1% at 50m3/m2hr
Media has a naturally high positive charge enabling negatively charged
particulates such as Cryptosporidium and Legionella to be removed by surface
adsorption.

While evaluating the life cost incurred for both the type of filtration systems it is evident
that the Euro-Clean Filter based tertiary treatment has financial advantages of
operation cost over a life cycle of 15 years.
The major component considered for replacement was found to be the membranes,
which generally have a life of 5 years .Hence for arriving at the operation cost the
membrane 2 times replacement is been considered along with the chemical and spares.
In case of Euro-Clean Filter for the operation period of 15 years majorly the
electromechanical, instrumentation & automation. Over all media life is guaranteed for
15 Years.
Hence Euro-Clean Advanced Filtration System can find its importance in a wide
spectrum of application starting from Water Treatment plant to tertiary filtration of
treated sewage and also majorly as a pretreatments of desalination units which totally
depend on UF units .
One of the most favorable advantage that could be associated with the Euro-Clean
Advanced filter would be the simplicity with which it van be operated and maintained.
The reason being the Euro-Clean filtration doesn’t mandates PLC based automated
operation unlike Ultrafiltration wherein we require continuous monitoring of
instrumentation & automation. The Euro-Clean operation doesn’t require the assistance
of any highly qualified automation engineer rather the STP plant operators can handle
the plant themselves.

INSTALLATION &COMMISSIONING
Supervision of Erection & Commissioning will be done by us. Charges for the
supervision will be applicable@ Rs.7000/man days, GST extra as applicable.
To & FRO (Air/Train/Bus) Fare, Food & Accommodation, Transportation to the Site
from Hotel for the Engineer will be in buyer scope. All other requirement at site for the
purpose of installation & commissioning such as lifting equipment/machinery, tools &
tackles, lubricants, cleaning agents, semiskilled labour/helpers with personal protective
equipment (PPE) kits etc should be in buyer scope on FOC basis.
WARRANTY
Standard warranty shall applicable on back to back cases as prescribed by the OEM
against any manufacturing defects observed in the equipment for the period of 12
months from the date of installation or 18 months from the date of supply, whichever is
earlier.
Equipment failure due to wrong loading and unloading practice, wrong storage practice,
owing to operational mistake, human errors, sudden power failure or power transients
and consequential damages to the equipment and resultant replacement of the spares
are not cover under the warranty terms.
FORCE MAJEURE
Force Majeure means any act, event or circumstances, or combination of acts, events or
circumstances, which materially and adversely affect our performance or its obligation
pursuant to the terms of this Agreement, but only if and to the extent that such acts,
events or circumstances are not within our reasonable control, were not reasonably
foreseeable and could not have been prevented or overcome by the us through the
exercise of reasonable skill or care. Where such performance is affected in part, we shall
be relieved of the performance of the part, which is adversely affected. Force Majeure
shall comprise of political Force Majeure events like war, revolution, sabotage or
terrorism, or non-political events like flood, cyclone, lighting, earthquake drought,
storm, Tsunami, fire or explosion, strikes, lock outs etc.
JURISDICTION
All legal matters will be handled in India.
General
a) Cancellation of order is not acceptable, as the items will be imported against your
order. In case of cancellation entire order amount will be recovered from your end.
b) All data as to price, size, type and design, drawings and technical documents
whether submitted with or without cost, are on the clear understanding that the
same are for the buyer’s own confidential use and are not to be given or shown to
outsiders under any circumstances.
c) The buyer agrees to release/clear dispatch documents presented by Bank or our
nearest office immediately on presentation. In the event the buyer fails to do so, we
shall have the right to recover from the buyer, interest at the Bank rate prevailing at
that time, from the date of presentation to the date they are released by the buyer.
d) The proposals submitted are based on the analytical and other information made
available to us and where complete information has been lacking, on the
assumptions which we have had to make. In formulating these proposals we have
taken great care in studying the buyer’s treatment problem and the basic data
furnished to us. It is clearly understood that the final responsibility for assessing
the capability of the equipment offered and its suitability for his use rests with the
buyer.
e) Bought out component makes specific in our proposals were selected after
exhaustive evaluation and use. The delivery period and price quoted in our
proposal take into account the special prices and preferential deliveries we get for
these makes. Buyers who specify alternate makes do so on the clear understanding
that both price and delivery quoted in our proposal will have to be modified
accordingly.
f) Our responsibility for commissioning the plant supplied to buyer is subject to
their having been no loss or damage thereto since its dispatch in good condition and
there having been no deterioration of material due to bad handling, adverse
conditions of storage or prolonged storage.
