Barnes' Notes on the Whole Bible (Albert Barnes)


Educated at Princeton seminary, Albert Barnes was a dedicated student of the
Bible. Though passed over by the biographical sketches of influential theological
writers, his notes on the Whole Bible continue to be quite popular even today.

This work is Brian Bell's personal notes from his Sunday Morning and Wednesday

read, helping the people understand each passage' (Neh.8:8).

Benson's Commentary of the Old and New Testaments
(Joseph Benson)
One of the most eminent of the early Methodist ministers in England, Joseph
Benson was born at Melmerby, in Cumberland, Jan. 25, 1748. At sixteen he became
a Methodist and was converted. In 1766 Mr. Wesley appointed him classical master
at Kingswood School. He devoted himself closely to philosophy and theology,
studying constantly and zealously.
