CAUTION: DO NOT LET FUEL OR OIL FALL ON THE ENGINE. YOU MUST
IMMEDIATELY REMOVE UNWANTED FUEL OR OIL WITH A
CLOTH. THE FUEL OR OIL CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO SOME
ENGINE PARTS.
CAUTION: YOU MUST EXAMINE THE OIL LEVEL BETWEEN 5 MINUTES
AND 60 MINUTES AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN.
Check the Engine oil quantity on oil tank sight glass as per AMM TASK 12-13-79-
610-062-A : EN
If the oil level is above the MAX level on the sight gage, read the Class
3 report and check for concurrent fault message ENGXD-0284 ENG OIL
LEVEL - HIGH and do the following troubleshooting: Ref. TSM 79-31-
00-810-825.
If the oil level on the sight glass is below the full mark (quarts),
then replenish oil as per AMM Task 12-13-79-610-063-A.
CAUTION: IF POSSIBLE, WAIT AT LEAST 1 HOUR AFTER THE APU SHUT DOWN
TO ALLOW THE OIL TO BECOME COOL BEFORE YOU SERVICE THE
SYSTEM. THIS WILL MAKE SURE THE SIGHT GLASS READING IS
ACCURATE.
i. For NON-EDTO A/C:
If ECAM APU page shows “LOW OIL LEVEL” message,
replenish APU oil tank to FULL level as per AMM TASK 12-
13-49-612-001 and record uplift in the aircraft technical log.
ii. For EDTO A/C:
EN
a) If ECAM APU page shows “LOW OIL LEVEL” message,
replenish APU oil tank to FULL level as per AMM TASK 12-13-
49-612-001. Compute oil consumption since last uplift and
record in the aircraft technical log.
b) Check no “Oil filter clog” (APU Maintenance status on
ECAM.) Follow the TSM procedure if Class 2 message
indicates discrepancy with APU system including oil filter
clog.
