How To Make A Series Connection in Your Breadboard PDF

The document provides instructions for making a series connection in a breadboard using jumper cables, LEDs, a resistor, and a battery. It lists the required materials and provides labeled steps to connect the components in a series circuit, with the battery powering a green LED and then a red LED in sequence. It concludes by describing how to test if the circuit is working properly by checking if each LED lights up individually and together.

Making a series connection in our breadboard

A. What we need:
a. 1 Breadboard
b. 4 Jumper Cables
c. 2 LEDs (1 red, 1 green if you have none then
any two LEDs just make sure that
they have different colors)
d. 1 Resistor
e. 1 Battery Connector
f. 1 Battery

B. Procedure

a. Get your breadboard

b. Connect the battery connection as follows:

i. Red cable to left side (+,1)
ii. Black cable to right side (-,1)

c. Get a jumper cable and connect it to (+,5) and (a,5)

d. Get the resistor and connect it to (e,5) and (f,5)

e. Get a jumper cable and connect it to (j,5) and (j,10)

f. Get an LED (Green) and connect it as follows:

i. Long end to (f,10)
ii. Short end to (e,10)

g. Gen a jumper cable and connect it to (a,10) and (a,15)

h. Get an LED (Red) and connect it as follows:
i. Long end to (e,15)
ii. Short end to (f,15)

i. Get a jumper cable and connect it to (j,15) and

(-,5) on the right side to complete the circuit.

C. Testing

a. To test first plug in the battery to the power connector.

Check if both bulbs light up. If so then that means our
circuit is working properly. If not, please recheck the steps
and your connections.

b. Now remove the Red LED and check if the Green LED is
still glowing.
c. Now put back the Red LED in its proper orientation
and remove the Green LED.
Check if the Red LED is still glowing.

d. Now put the Green LED back in its proper orientation.

Check if both LEDs are still glowing.

Now that’s how you make a simple series circuit in a breadboard. 😊 Hope you guys enjoyed.
