1.0. Introduction
PPL Electrics sets the highest pragmatic standards for health, safety, and environment (HSE) in
carrying out its activities related to the Oil and Gas Industry.
The objectives shall be to:
• Protect the health and well-being of personnel during work site activities and ensure that safety
is the prime consideration in the project execution.
• Place the necessary premium to our project team including the personnel of sub - contractors
with whom the company operations may interface directly or indirectly.
• The safety and security of all projects related personnel (our sub contractor's staff and
community labour) shall be preserved including associated facilities and equipment.
• Conservation of the environment will receive the utmost attention and will be managed as an
integral part of the project execution.
Management shall fulfil its obligations, responsibilities, and commitments through the execution of
HSE management system.
All categories of employees involve in any of our project will be required to observe all safety
regulations as stipulated in the Company HSE manual/HSE Manual, and to recognize safe working
practices in performances of their duties.
Accident control shall be the duty of all categories of staff engaged in the project and the
accountability rest on the site engineer/manager/safety officer on site of the project.
It is thus mandatory for all the project team members to manage their activities in line with the
provision of this policy. The identification of all hazards and subsequent analysis of potential effects
shall be rigorously pursued, adequate control measures established.
Regarding this policy, the ZERO accident operation/injury free culture is set as a target for any
project carried out by PPL Electrics.
