Give 5 examples of Universal Statement, Conditional Statement and
Existential Statement.

Universal Statement
1. The squares of all real numbers are nonnegative
2. All negative numbers are less than zero.
3. All cats have rodent breath.
4. No parrots are mammals.
5. The sum of any 10 consecutive natural numbers is divisible by 10.

Conditional Statement
1. A rectangle is a square if and only if the adjacent sides are
congruent.
2. If one is a cat, then one has rodent breath.
3. If you don’t win in the competition, your supporters will very sad.
4. If you brush your teeth regularly, your teeth will not decay.
5. If it’s not 90 degrees, then it’s not a right angle.

Existential Statement
1. There is an integer n that is bigger than 2.
2. There is a right triangle T with sides 1, 2 and 3.
3. There exists a sum of 10 consecutive natural numbers that is
divisible by 5.
4. There is a country called Philippines.
5. There is a man in 1CMT2N.
