Flyover of 1.8 Km length (Pile foundation), slip roads, drain along the
alignment after shifting of existing utilities.

Responsible for process control pertaining to laying of pavement type


including those related to the mixing plant and transportation of the mixed
material, finalization of alignment, design and issue of working drawings to the
contractor, maintenance of existing road for different type of surface defects,
coordination with the, Survey and Quantity Survey Department for the
finalization of Interim Payment Certificate, preparation of monthly progress
report, coordination with Employer, contractor and different agencies to
remove the hurdles in proper implementation of the project effectively.

domestic funded Project Of NHAI“Four Laning And Strengthening Of The
Existing Two Lane Stretches From Balasore To Laxmannath (Km 0.000 to
Km 53.410) on NH- 60 in the State Of Orissa (Package-OR-IV)”, India,

The project includes the construction of 53.410 km road of Rigid pavement type
having four lane divided carriageway width 8.5m with 1.5m wide shoulder either

Underpass- 10 No and a large no of Cross drainage structure was also the part
of the project. The median was kept so wide with an aim for future expansion of
the road from four to six lane. There were 3 no of Bypasses in the entire
alignment which were coming besides the three different small towns. A huge
quantity of earthwork was involved.
Responsible for conducting and reviewing of detailed project reports prepared
by the Design Consultants, laying of Rigid Pavement work done by slip form
paver, Quality Control for the particular section of the road, maintained a close
coordination with Survey and Quantity Survey Department for the finalization of
Interim Payment Certificate, preparation for monthly progress report,

The project involves strengthening and widening of existing two lane roads to
three lanes of flexible type having pavement width 10.5m and 1.0m shoulder
either side of the carriageway. It also covers the construction of drainage
structures and one major bridge. Initially, there was no provision of drainage
layer (GSB) but it was modified by the client and was introduced below base
course (WMM).

Responsible for contract management and administration through FIDIC


conditions of contract, pivotal in preparation of Weekly and monthly progress
report, Interim Payment Certificate (IPC), variation orders for the BOQ items
exceeding the quantity provided in the contract and Non-BOQ items and their
submission to employer for approval, conducted rate analysis of various items
other than BOQ items and their submission to employer for approval.

The project consists of excess controlled expressway having six lane divided
carriageway of rigid type constructed by using slip form paver, carriageway
width-12.45 on either side having median width 7.6m, paved shoulder 2.5m and
unpaved shoulder 1.5m either side. There were 3 no of underpasses, 2 no of
overpasses, 3 no of viaducts, 1 no of Toll Plaza and a large no of culverts (Pipe,
Slab and Box type) and 2 No of tunnels.

Responsible for checking the setting out, quality control of materials and
completed works, checking of Contractor’s invoices, variations and preparation
of variation orders, as built drawing submitted by contractor, provided
supervision of mechanized construction of Pavement Quality Concrete by slip
form paver, collection of field data and assistance to Resident Engineer in
finalization of design and drawing, Maintained a close coordination with different
agencies to remove the bottlenecks for proper implementation of the project,

Oct 1995-Jan 1998 Material Engineer, Bihar Plateau Development Project, Ranchi, India
Client: R&B Department, Government of Bihar, World Bank funded under
FIDIC conditions of contract

The project covered the stage construction of rural road by laying GSB, WMM
and wearing course. A large no of cross drainage structures and major bridges
were also constructed on open foundation. In built up areas, set stone and
concrete pavement (PCC) were constructed to drain off the surface water.

Responsible for establishing the field laboratories equipped with basic apparatus
to carry out the routine testing and mix design of concrete, pivotal in providing
approval of quarries for different materials used in road construction, acquired
certification of foreign materials like cement, steel and hume pipes verifying their
manufacturer’s certificate and additional tests required by the third party,
prepared mix design of various grades of concrete for road and bridge works,
statistical analysis of data obtained from testing to ensure quality of works.

Dec 1993- Sep 1995 Scientist, Use of municipal wastes in road construction, India

The project aims to find an alternative material as sub base for pavement
construction and solve environmental issue by utilizing the Municipal waste.

Responsible for conducting literature survey, laboratory investigations of


different type of processed municipal wastes for their suitability in road
construction. Carried out chemical analysis of municipal wastes and fly ash,
stabilization of municipal wastes with cement, lime, fly ash and their suitability in
different combinations and proportions, design of pavement and bituminous mix,
construction of test sections and observations of their behaviour under different
traffic conditions.

assistance in routine testing in the field laboratory, design of different bituminous
mixes and quality control during execution of earthworks, WMM, DBM and BC,
