In 2022, there are many technology trends used to develop existing technology today for
example the first is Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and the second is Robotic
Process Automation.

Artificial intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines,


especially computer systems. Specific applications of AI include expert systems, natural
language processing, speech recognition, and machine vision. How AI systems work is by
ingesting large amounts of labeled training data, analyzing the data for correlations and patterns,
and using these patterns to make predictions about future states. In this way, a Chabot that is fed
examples of text chats can learn to produce lifelike exchanges with people, or an image
recognition tool can learn to identify and describe objects in images by reviewing millions of
examples. AI is very important now days because it can give enterprises insights into their
operations that they may not have been aware of previously and because, in some cases, AI can
perform tasks better than humans. Particularly when it comes to repetitive, detail-oriented tasks
like analyzing large numbers of legal documents to ensure relevant fields are filled in properly,
AI tools often complete jobs quickly and with relatively few errors. An example of AI that is
often around us nowadays is Smart Assistance which is found in smartphones. For iPhone users,
smart assistance that is commonly used is called SIRI. The way it works is that, for example if
we have a question, we can just ask them using voice over and smart assistance AI will find the
answer to that question on the internet.

Robotic process automation (RPA) is a software technology that makes it easy to build,
deploy, and manage software robots that emulate human’s actions interacting with digital
systems and software. Just like people, software robots can do things like understanding what’s
on a screen, completing the right keystrokes, navigating systems, identifying and extracting data,
and performing a wide range of defined actions. But software robots can do it faster and more
consistently than people, without the need to get up and stretch or take a coffee break. An
example of (RPA) is Scheduling Systems. Online scheduling of patients for healthcare
appointments can be enhanced with RPA technology. Bots can gather all patient details such as
insurance information, appointment request, location preferences, and more to make appointment
scheduling more efficient.
Two industries for Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning that can be improved

1. Transportation
One of the ways in which the transport sector can be upgraded today is by replacing
existing public transport such as trains with non-drivers. In this way, it can reduce
manpower and only require employees to control from the station because in terms of
driving, speed and destination only need to be set and AI will control the train. Of course,
this method will be more efficient because it can operate for 24 hours non-stop and
equipped with various security systems such as emergency stops and so on to ensure the
safety of passengers.

2. Retail shops
One of the ways retail shops can be upgraded using AI is by the way each retail shop
owner can create a special qr code for items in their store. This qr code works so that
when the user scans, it will display each type of item available in the store as well as the
price of each item. In this way, not only can it be easier for customers by providing
information so that they can know immediately whether the item they are looking for is
available or not in the store, thus saving purchase time.
Two industries for Robotic Process Automation that can be improved

1. Manufacturing
One of the ways the manufacturing industry can be upgraded is by using more robots and
machines in the production of any product. This is so that work can be done faster and
less errors in the production of goods compared to manpower. It also can reduces cost by
minimizing human errors and increase compliance

2. Restaurant
One of the ways in robotic process automation that can be used to upgrade the food
industry or restaurants is by using robots as servers in restaurants. For example in Dubai
where the use of robots is very optimal especially in restaurants where we can see when
customers place an order, their food will be served by sophisticated robots.

Benefits and Challenge

1. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning


Benefits for using AI and Machine learning is they are very helpful in smart decision
making. AI technology can coordinate data delivery, analyze trends, develop data
consistency, provide forecasts, and quantify uncertainties to make the best decisions for
the company. The challenge are to give enough computing power. They require a
supercomputer’s computing power, and yes, supercomputers aren’t cheap.

2. Robotic Process Automation


Benefits for using RPA is it would optimizing time-centric and repetitive routine
processes and increases go-to-market speed by maximizing productivity. The challenge
that we need to face is RPA implementation is especially difficult though with business
processes that are non-standardized and require frequent human intervention in order to
execute. Typically, more complex tasks include interacting with customers and
developing human relationships.
