I. Background / Situational Analysis

Environmental problems are inevitable. Out of human’s

recklessness, detrimental effects continued to give difficulties towards
humanity. One of these issues is littering. This is one of the driving forces
that cause climate change. In addition, this kind of pollution cause
diseases such as dengue. Dengue is caused by the mosquitos that live in
dirty surroundings. A dirty environment can affect people in the
community and cleanliness is major concern that triggers this issue.
During this time of the pandemic, it is important to clean our surroundings
because we don’t know if there are bacterias that can affect us. The
COVID-19 can be just anywhere so taking an action is a must.
Bayorbor is one of the barangay in the community of
Mataasnakahoy. During the rainy season, the people living in this area
become sick because of diseases that get into the environment like
dengue. Most of them say that mosquitoes are one of their biggest
problems. Moreover, this area was also recorded to have a history of
COVID-19 cases. This community project: Let’s Go Green! aims to sustain
the barangay’s surroundings by having a clean drive mission. Also, it aims
to teach and help the people in the community to be environmentally
aware. In that way, everyone can prevent pollutions, diseases, and even
the virus itself. With that, we can mitigate the harmful effects that can be
brought by dirty surroundings. Yet, it can help them to have a safe and
healthy environment.
