Introduction
Sustainability has gone from one of many topics in corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs to a global
imperative. Combustion and release of other greenhouse gases has raised global CO2 levels and recent
commitments to reduce them will fall short of the mark. Gyres of plastics clog shipping lanes around the world,
slowly degrading into microplastics that are ever-present in our water and, increasingly, air. Much of this
degradation results from product creation, logistics, use, and disposal. Thus, PLM is essential to a systemic response.
Leading PLM software and service providers are defining the needed metrics, measurement approaches, and
enabling technology for their industrial clients. To better understand sustainability in industrial companies. The
factory of the future must have a Green Product Lifecycle Management strategy sharing responsibilities within the
whole supply chain that must be achieved through committed people.
Observations
In order to define the lifecycle, they have established key competences for the Green Manufacturing
Enterprise: - Eco Design (eD), Green Development (GD), Green (Sustainable) Manufacturing (GM),
Sustainable Production and Logistics (SPL), Responsible Use and Maintenance (RUM), Product Social
Response (PSR)
Based on these competences they has been defined a first framework of product lifecycle
The initial framework defines the green product lifecycle activities and a model for managing workflows that
will help to implement a PLM tool
Each stage has its own particular resources to be applied in its activities in the most efficient way, the
resources proposed to achieve sustainability in each stage are: -
a. Eco Design- Eco design, Materials Selection, Global Legislation
b. Green Development- Meta Process Planning, Product-Process-Production, Design Factory Design
c. Green Manufacturing- Green/Sustainable Manufacturing, Manufacturing Resources optimization, Decision
based Systems Simulation
d. Sustainable Production and Logistics- Workplaces Design, Factory modularisation, Resources optimization
and reuse
e. Responsible Use and Maintenance- Product use supervising and control, Logistics efficiency, Packaging
optimization design
f. Product Social Response- Materials recycling impact, Product Reuse Design, Maintenance optimization
In Proposed second framework they have felt a need of integration and interoperability of all the
applications (tools), if tried to represent previous defined resources as layers that evolve all the product
lifecycle

ii. Maintenance and care
It is important to pay attention to the last phase, the end of life. Here critical decisions must be made,
sometimes conditioned by the initial phases of the product design. Decisions about product disposal and the
selection and separation of each product parts will close the cycle
Lastly an Amazing concept of 6R Analysis has discussed and suggested for sustainable product lifecycle
management.
Conclusions
The importance of gaining an idea of sustainable product life cycle management is considered as
important next generation production businesses. With this, the framework proposed for this project is
improving key stages of a sustainable product life cycle strategy. The donation describes a model that
establishes all the processes that take place in the product life cycle as well tells the use and interaction of
specific methods, tools and information in each phase that will help to achieve stability. This makes it possible
to increase efficiency in product development and sustainable cycle management. This methodological
proposal emphasizes the use of methods, tools and information required to minimize the impact produced in
the product life cycle.
Although the design stage can be described as the main driving force the impact of sustainability and
profitability on industry and society, future activities must be undertaken in consultation with it the end of the
product life cycle is trying to regenerate it in a broader way.
