HSI

1. The document outlines the steps to configure High Speed Internet (HSI) using GPON. It involves creating a service profile, connections for ONTs, configuring Ethernet switching parameters, creating a flow point template, and an ELINE service. 2. Additional steps include configuring laptops 1 and 2 for internet sharing. Laptop 1 is connected to an internet dongle and its LAN port. Laptop 2 is connected to an ONT port. It is configured with Laptop 1's IP as the default gateway and DNS servers. 3. Once configured, internet connectivity is established for Laptop 2 through Laptop 1 and the GPON network.

2. Click on “edit” of “Edit Switching Parameters” column.
Step 4: Creating Flow Point Template.
1. Go to “Flow Point Templates” option under “Services Provisioning” of “L2 Services”.
2. Click on “Provision a new FlowPointTemplate”.
3. Configure the parameters as shown below:
Once the “Flow Point Template” is created, it is displayed on “Flow Point Templates” page as shown
below:
Step 5: Creating Eline Service.
1. Go to “ELINE Services” option under “Services Provisioning” of “L2 Services”.
2. Click on “Add new ELINE Service”.

[ Here, Physical interface ETH-1-2-2 is mapped to logical interface BPETH-1-3-206. Since ONTs are
connected to 6th port of 3rd slot of PON card, BPETH-1-3-206 is to be selected in this scenario. It might
vary as per physical connection made.]

Once, ELINE Service is created, it is displayed on “ELINE Services” page as shown below:
Detailed Setup:
Laptop 1 Configuration:
USB Internet Dongle is connected to Laptop 1 and ethernet cable is connected to LAN port of the laptop
through 2nd Port of CEF7G card here.
1. Right Click on USB Internet Dongle [MBlaze] here.
2. Go to “Properties”.
3. Click on “Sharing”.
4. Check the appropriate boxes as shown in the figure below:

The “Network Connection Details” of USB Internet Dongle[MBlaze] is shown below:

These details are used to configure the DNS IP addresses for Laptop 2.
Laptop 2 Configuration:
Now, connect laptop 2 to the ONT Ethernet Port 1 (i.e.; ONTGEthPort-1-3-6-1-1-1) as it is configured
for HSI while creating “Connections”.
The “Network Connections” for Laptop 2 is shown in the figure below:
1. Configure the “TCP/IPv4 Properties” of “Local Area Connection” of Laptop 2.
2. The “Default Gateway” is provided as the “IP address” of Laptop 1, the “IP address” of Laptop 2
is configured in the subnetwork of Gateway, and the “Preferred DNS server” & “Alternate DNS
server” of Laptop 2 is configured as DNS server details of USB Internet Dongle[MBlaze] of
Laptop 1.
3. After configuration of “TCP/IPv4 Properties”, Internet connectivity is established and browsing
is enabled seamlessly.
