Application Typical Characteristics
HiTEC® 355 long drain axle additive is used to formulate fluids meeting Appearance Clear dark amber liquid
the needs of heavy duty axles. HiTEC® 355 technology was field tested Specific Gravity @ 15.6/15.6°C 1.004
in Dana and Meritor front and rear axles under severe service conditions. Density, lbs/gal. 8.36
One hundred trucks were run in this field evaluation for up to 500,000 Viscosity @ 100°C, cSt. 23
miles each. Flash Point, °C (PMCC) 85 min.
While recommended for heavy duty axle applications, lubricants
formulated with HiTEC® 355 are not currently approved against DANA Handling Information
SHAES-256Rev C. Max Handling Temp: 65°C
Oils formulated with HiTEC® 355 in appropriate base oil/VI combinations Shelf Life: 12 months @ ambient temperature

• SAE J 2360 (MIL-PRF-2105E)
