The Electrical & Electronics Association of Malaysia (TEEAM)
Mr. Dahari Mat Siran is currently the Technical Support Manager of Hager Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company of
Hagergroup, an international electrical company based in Germany. He graduated with Degree in Electrical Engineering from
Monash University, Melbourne, Australia in 1991. He has started his carrier with Schneider Scott & English (Schneider Electric) as
a Technical Engineer for 5 years. He has more than 30 years’ experience in electrical industry, with good knowledge of sales and
marketing functions, experienced presenter and trainer. He has a vast knowledge of LV electrical protection system, electrical
control, wiring accessories and building automation system including KNX. He is also involved intensively in the Working Group
and Technical Committee (TC) for developing Malaysian Standard (MS) for Low Voltage electrical installation. Currently he is the
chairman for TC on LV Switchgear, Control Gear & Wiring Accessories. He was a Council Member in The Electrical & Electronics
Association of Malaysia (TEEAM) and was also the Chairman for Electrical Safety and Quality Committee, TEEAM.

National Occupational Accident Statistics 2020


Ir. Ts. Dr. Majahar Bin Abd. Rahman
Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia, DOSH
Ir. Ts. Dr. Majahar Bin Abd. Rahman has served in DOSH since 1992, currently holding the position of Director of the Policy,
International and Research Planning Division. Is a professional engineer in the field of Chemical Engineering and holds a PHD and a
master's degree in OSH from UKM and Brunel University, London respectively. Recognised by Public Service Department as Subject
Matter Expert (SME) on Occupational Safety and Health Policy and Strategic Planning. Currently involved directly in the process of
reviewing, planning, and development and monitoring of national OSH policies, master plan, legislation, international conventions
and data analysis of national OSH performance. He is the Chairman of Strategy 4 OSHMP 2020: Mainstreaming of Industrial Hygiene
where through this committee initiative and previous assignments there are various innovations and simplification methods
produced including: Systematic Occupational Health Enhancement Level Program (SoHELP) and Industrial Hygiene Catalyst
Committee (IH2C). Among the latest innovaion initiatives include, COVID -19 SOP Weekly Report (C19-SWR) which reached 3.0
million entries, NO CLASS NO ENTRY and Monthly Report OSH Indicator Checklist (MrOIC). Also produced innovations for the
organizational management system including My Section My Commitment, JAM SEMMAT and Excellence Team BDAPP 2020
(etBDAPP).

Ir. Lim Kim Ten, graduated in 1979 with a B.Eng.(Hons) degree in electrical engineering from Universiti Malaya and holds a in
Science in Electrical (1990) from the National University of Singapore. He is a registered professional engineer with practicing
certificate with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). An active member of the engineering community having served in various
capacities in IEM and other organisations. He specialises in Standards and Guidelines and also an Industrial Advisory Member
/Examination Panel for various Universities.

Hj. Azhar graduated in BEng. Electrical & Electronic Engineering - University of Bath, UK in 1995. He started his career in 1996 until
2002 with TNB Segamat. Currently, Ir. Azhar is the Senior Manager of (Process Safety & HSE Advisory) in TNB. He also has OSH
Certificate from NIOSH Malaysia, a Certified Environmental Professional In Scheduled Waste Management Certificate (CePSWaM)
from Department of Environment Malaysia, a CQI & IRCA Certified OHSAS 18001:2007 Lead Auditor (OH&S Management Systems)
and a TNB Authorized Person up to 11 kV.

Ir. Lee Chong Kiow

Ir. Lee Chong Kiow is a 1974 electrical engineering graduate from Strathclyde University, Glasgow with more than 45 years of
experience in the power supply industry. Specializes in providing technical training of electrical courses and performing power
system studies. Previously as the Engineering Manager of Tamco Corporate Holdings Sdn Bhd, which manufactures indoor medium-
and low-voltage switchgear. More than 15 years working as a protection engineer in a Lembaga Letrik Negara and another five years
in a large consultancy practice. Ir. CK Lee also is a Malaysian Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) certified competent/services
engineer up to 275kV. Since 1997, trained about 7,000 participants from electricity utilities, petrochemical industry and multi-
national companies throughout Malaysia as well as in Singapore, Brunei, Oman, India, China, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam,
Philippines and Indonesia and three countries in Africa. Carried out various training programmes for Petronas Instep, Brunei Shell
Petroleum, Brunei LNG, Petroleum Development Oman, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Sarawak Energy Bhd and Intel. Topics include
Power System Protection, Basic Electrical Engineering, Applications, and Operation & Maintenance of Electrical Equipment,
Commissioning of Power Transformers, and Protection & Starting of Induction Motors, Medium & Low Voltage Switchgear, Arc Flash
Awareness, Electrical Safety & Competency, Arc Flash & Assessment and Power System Studies.

Safety Testing of Electrical Appliances and Electronic Devices


Ir. Anita Marzuki
SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd.
Ir. Anita Marzuki graduated with Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from UTM and with Ms. Sc. in Telecommunication and
information Technology from UiTM. She has 21 years’ experience in testing of the electrical appliances and electronics devices. She
is a registered Technical Assessor for IECEE CB Scheme, responsible to conduct peer assessment on other CBTLs within the region as
assigned by IECEE. She plays a key role in supporting Malaysia’s Energy Commission in evaluating relevant foreign and local test
reports on electrical and electronic equipment to ensure their compliance with national requirements for import permits. She has
delivered market surveillance activities on behalf of regulators for communication devices and electrical electronics appliances, and
analyse the test result and the certification status. Results then to be reported to the regulators such as MCMC and EC. She is
experienced in providing advisory services to guide the industries in their applications to test their equipment and advise the
consultants, importers & manufacturers on the subjects and has been involved in Technical Committee for National Standard
development for safety, performance and energy efficiency of E&E product standards.
