Background/ Rationale:

The comprehensive plan, also known as a general plan, master plan or land use plan, is a
document designed to guide the future actions of a community. It presents a vision for the
future; with long-range goals and objectives for all activities that affect the local government.
This includes guidance on how to make decisions on public and private land development
proposals; the expenditure of public funds; availability of tax policy (tax incentives);
cooperative efforts; and issues of pressing concern (such as farmland preservation, or the
rehabilitation of older neighborhoods areas). Most plans are written to provide direction for
future activities over a ten-to-twenty-year period after plan adoption. However, plans should
receive a considered review and possible update every five years.

In this regard, the local government of Kiamba will be conducting a public hearing of its
Comprehensive Land Use Plan for Calendar Year 2019-2027. Results from this preceeding will
determine the necessary revisions needed in order for the said plan to be submitted to the
Provincial Land Use Committee for review.

Objective:

It is the objective of this proposal to equip the participants with knowledge in the current status
of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan to be able for them to suggest and comment on any revisions or
recommendations that will improve the plan.

Participants/ Target Clientele:

Total of One Hundred (100) participants comprising of the Municipal Development Council,
Department Heads, the Association of Barangay Captains and major/minor stakeholders.

Target Venue:

The one (1) day public hearing will be in the Kiamba Municipal Gym.

Target Date:

The said activity will be on March 22, 2022.


Methodology:

To effectively meet the objectives of this activity, the public hearing includes presentation of
the Land Use Plan and its corresponding data and maps with open forum and discussion to follow
afterwards.

Budgetary Requirements:

Monitoring and Evaluation:

Attendance sheet and photo documentations with minutes of the Public Hearing will serve as a
means of verification that the activity was implemented.
