NARRATIVE REPORT ON 3RD FACULTY MEETING AND


SLAC ON MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS:
PSYCHOLOGICAL SELF-ASSESSMENT

One of the best practices our school does is the staff meeting. In this way, all matters
to be prepared are discussed and planned properly. The 3rd Faculty Meeting was conducted on
October 29, 2021 (Friday) via Google Meet and was hosted by Ms. Ma. Lourdes Grace
Sanday.

The meeting was started first with a prayer through audio visual presentation and
followed by singing of National Anthem led by Ms. Mailene M. Maranan, Grade 5 Adviser.
Roll call was done by Mrs. Arlene Sulit, Grade 9-Athena adviser through citing the favorite
clap before saying good morning. 100% attendance for the said meeting was attained. It was
followed by short but fruitful food for thought that was given by Ms. Nardleah Mate and a
welcome message from our dearest principal, Mrs. Lucila M. Caringal.

After giving welcome remarks, the principal proceeded in the meeting proper. The
following agenda were presented and discussed:
 SMEPA – scheduled on November 22-26, 2021
 DsMEPA - scheduled on November 29-December 3, 2021
 DMEPA - scheduled on December 6-9, 2021
Data needed for the presentation of each grade level on SMEPA was
presented.
 SIP Exit Report/SRC School Report Card
 Microsoft 365 Account for Learners
 Status of SLM
 Sulong Dunong – This Sulong Dunong was precisely explain by Ms. Mailene
Maranan. There were three categories for this contest: Digital Story, Book Talk and Online
Poster Making. It will be presented in School Level on November 11, then at District Level is
on November 15 and the Division Level is on November 24.
 Records Inventory for 2021 – Mrs. Desiree Delgado
 Schedule of Activites – Activities for the month of November
 Other matters – Gift giving for “something-something” was discussed as well
as the tentative Christmas break. The principal reminded again the officers of

the day to maintain the cleanliness of the school and for taking care of the
plants in the school premises.

SLAC on Mental Health Awareness followed immediately after the staff meeting. The
“Mental Health Awareness” was discussed by Mrs. Desiree P. Delgado,Teacher III. The
facilitator of this topic imparted tips to maintain mental health. She explained that mental
health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think,
feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.
A short energizer was given by the facilitator before she ended the topic.

Next topic was “Ensuring Physical and Mental Health that was facilitated by Ms.Jezel
Sinohin, Teacher 1- Health Coordinator. The facilitator started her topic by mental health
check-in of the participants. She differentiated and related the two emotions, the positive and
the negative in a nice way. She highlighted on her discussion that mental health is a balance
of all aspects of life-physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. She added that all of us feel all
types of emotions that makes us a normal person.

Sharing was done for the topic about “Threats to Mental Health that was facilitated by
Mrs. Lucila M. Caringal, Principal I. She asked the participants if what is/are the causes of
threats of stress to them and what are their coping mechanism. In this part, participants were
becoming emotional while sharing. The best coping mechanism to all of them is PRAYER!
The facilitator shared an inspirational and encouraging words before she ended her talk.

The last topic was about “Stress Management” facilitated by Mrs. Ma. Lorna D.
Guerra, Master Teacher I. Before she started her talk, she added some words of
encouragement based on the previous activity. The facilitator gave tips in managing stress.
Like, identifying the sources of stress in your life; Practice the 4A’s of stress management;
Guided Imaginary; Visualizations; Maintaining Balance with a healthy lifestyle and learn to
relieve stress in the moment.

The session went well. Closing remarks was heard from Ms. Mailene M. Maranan,
Grade 5 Adviser. Mrs. Lyncel S. Callao, Teacher 1, wrapped up the session from topic 1 up
to the last topic. And for thanking for the guidance and success of whole session, closing
prayer was led by Mrs. Grade M. Villanueva.
