Two young women, Chloe Wales and Jessie McCarthy, recently completed intensive training courses through TAFE to further their careers. Jessie completed a demolition course to help establish her concrete business, gaining knowledge to assist the business. Chloe completed heavy vehicle plant operation courses in excavators, loaders, and skid steers, securing a permanent position with a civil construction company. In the space of a couple of weeks, these two young women, Chloe Wales and Jessie McCarthy have successfully completed intensive courses at TAFE concentrating their efforts in specialised programs, particular to their workplace and career of choice.
essie McCarthy completed the Demolition Restricted Course. Jessie is 21 years old, and is in the process of setting up a business in concrete, building and crushing materials with her partner at Moree. By completing the Demolition Restricted Course, Jessie has gained extensive knowledge that will not only assist with the establishment of the business, but also in the long-term. Jessie made the following comment about the course: James Lynne - the Trainer, was great and helped me in every way possible to understand the course content. This course has opened up a whole new future for myself with other training possibilities and work. Chloe Wales story is slightly different in the civil/earthmoving industry. She is just 19 years old, and already knows that operating machinery is a great career start for her now and in the future. Excavator, Loader and Skid Steer. Her skills and formal certication have secured her a permanent position in Narrabri at Hawkins Civil Construction.
