ROC and FloBoss Modbus Slave Configuration

➢ Procedure / Resolution
The steps below are procedures on how to setup Modbus Slave.
▪ Step 2 – Setup comm ports. Go to ROC>Comm_Ports, then select the comm port to use.
Set the Baud Rate, Parity, Data Bits, Stop Bits and Port Owner. All the settings must be
identical with the settings on the Modbus Master.
▪ Step 3 – Check the device address. Go to ROC>Information. Make sure that the address of
the slave is properly assigned.
For ROC800:
For FB107:
▪ Step 4 – Setup the ModBus configuration. Go to ROC>Modbus. On the General tab, check
Byte Order and Comm Mode (RTU: none, 8, 1; ASCII: even, 7, 1).
▪ Step 5 – Input registers on the Registers tab. On Indexing drop-down, use Point if there
are multiple logical factors and Parameters if there are multiple Parameter factors in an
index. Refer to Table 1.1 for different conversion code description.
