Interquartile range, IQR = Q3 − Q1
Quartile Deviation (Q.D) = Q3 − Q1 = Semi- Interquartile range

MERITS
• It is not affected by extreme observations
• Can be used in case of open ended classes
DEMERITS
• Not based on all observations
• Affected by fluctuations in sampling
• It is not suitable for further mathematical treatment.
