NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE CONDUCT OF DRY RUN OF THE LIMITED

FACE TO FACE CLASSES

The Jose Panganiban Elementary School and Faculty led by Mr. Antonio A.
Maderal, the School Principal successfully conducted a dry run held last February
23, 2022 in lieu of the Deped’s Pilot Implementation of the Expanded Limited Face to
Face classes which was officially implemented by the school last March 1, 2022.

Before the said activity, the school faculty with the guidance of the School
Principal, conducted lots of preparations so that the guidelines against the spread of
covid-19 could be properly observed even inside the classroom to ensure the
wellness and safety of the learners. Several orientations were conducted to parents
and teachers of safety policies that need to be followed during implementation of the
face to face classes. Teachers’ simulation was also managed a day before the dry
run. Parental consent was issued for pupils who participated in the said activity .
The school worked closely with the Barangays and Municipal Local Government
to ensure the smooth implementation of the activity.

Teachers made classroom adjustments with regards to the numbers of

seats to implement the social distancing as one of the health protocols set by the
DOH to prevent transmission of virus of the disease. Classes were formed in 2
sets, one in the morning, named as Class A and one in the afternoon, named as
Class B. Classrooms were made well ventilated and with working electric fans as
well as handwashing facilities were framed available and usable. Teachers made
certain that windows and doors can be opened at all times to maximize natural
airflow. Sinages about Covid-19 were posted on the wall of all classrooms to set
as reminders for the learners and parents.

Upon entering the gate of the school, parents/guardians are required to fill out
the health form and to have mandatory temperature check. Learners who are
supposed to be with signs and symptoms of Covid-19 will have to stay in the
isolation center of the school for them to be attended by the school health personnel
but luckily all the learners who came to school during the dry run were all in good
health.

The school established safe entrance and exit for all those entering school
premises (learners, teachers, parents/guardians, school personnel, etc.) Likewise,
drop-off and pick up points clearly identified and marked. The area for drop-off and
pick up points were made different to deter overcrowding in the area.

Each grade level had their own designated time schedule of arrival in school.
Grade Three Teachers waited the learners at the School’s Quadrangle from 7:00 to
7:10 in the morning and led the way to ensure that they will not be lost as they went
to their particular classrooms/sections. In the afternoon, Parents/Guardians were
allowed to accompany their children/learners to their classrooms.
Temperature of learners were rechecked before they enter to their respective
classrooms. Learners are advised to wear name tags with contact details for easy
identification. Frequent use of alcohol and handwashing were also emphasized to
the learners as part of hygienic measures to prevent spread of Covid-19. Orientation
was conducted inside the classroom on the purpose of conducting the dry run. The
dry run lasted for only two hours.

Teachers escorted the learners down to the exit gate after classes.
